Here is a simple little tip for painting those small parts that can't be hung or put anywhere sensible for spraying.

Good tip.... I personally use 'Bluetack' (or the like) in a similar way, but stick the bits to the end of a cocktail stick, which in turn I stick into foam, potato, or just more 'tack'.... Keeps the bits even further away from harm, and also gives you chance to actually apply some paint around the back edges.

Cheers mate yes it does help I'm using Tamiya paints and clear coats I've bought them so want to use them as I want a glossy polished look but just got worried with what I've read I've emailed matey and they have the SLT parts but there not on the web site so now waiting for them to get back to me coss I'm wanting the front tow hook and two prop shafts and want to order them all together Don't like waiting lol cheers b

Tamiya paints are good and you should't have a problem, just make sure your area is dust free, warm and spray from a distance as the tamiya paints tend to spray fast from the nozzle so go easy and have fun with the build, SLT parts are available from truescaletrucks, there on facebook so if you ask there you will get a pretty prompt reply, if not Ill contact the owner and get him to get in touch. Hi mate you got a hand like me lol good tip thanks do you clear coat your trucks as I want to but have read on the forums about it reacting with the paint have you had bad experiences like that? Also what rear cross member you having on your SLT mate cheers b

Hi bud. I will be putting a metal rear cross member on with the hook, A lot of lacquer paints can react, It all depends on temperature, how you spray and sometimes the lacquer is pure ****, I always use holts paints from primer, base and clear coats and have never had a problem, I usually put up to 3 or 4 coats of clear so there is a reflection in the paint. But every now and then I may get a lacquer bubble at a corner. (let it go off and a gentle rub with soapy water and 2000 paper. Hope this is of help to you.

@@scotty555babe thanks Scott! I know halfords...I use tamiya paint. It's good but coverage horrible!!! For king 3 cans and in my opinion 4 will be perfect! Little expensive spray!
