Really easy and simple paint job - SUPER effective. I'd never have guessed that was a smooth tile! Love that color for deep water too. This is a great series, Tom - well done!

Thanks for the video. I appreciate the extra insight on clear coat options for still vs. river water. I’ve been looking for a painting method for a pond and the nail polish idea is great.

If you want water that's not absolutely still, some little streaks and blotches of pure white on the water at the edge of the dry land can give the impression of turbulence. It's easy to overdo though, so as usual it's best to work from a minimal effect and then add more if you think it needs it.

Been using it for years when making gelatinous cubes to give them a slimy look (which works great!) :)

If you ever find yourself painting a pile-o'-treasure, a combo of gloss varnish (or nail polish as shown here) mixed with a little glitter can give you the shiny effect you'll feel the creepiest shopping for.

Question about the Ironing: Do you pick the "Only Highest layer" option or not? ^^ And in Sli3er: Dial down the layer height: Do you mean remove or add detail? I don´t have any other options there.

No, 'highest layer' wouldn't do the water level, only the highest point of the tile. :)

Dear God of printing. I'm using Cura version 15.04.6 and there is no option whatsoever for ironing. Is there any other option or setting that can reproduce ironing on this version? And good video by the way. I really love your job!
