Good job. 👌👍I've painted grey loads of times. That looked like polished pebble before. It's a lovely colour. Surprised customer wanted it darker. Chic shadow is like dolphin grey which is what it looked like after. Starting from the lightest it's rock salt, white mist, polished pebble, chic shadow, warm pewter

I have rock salt on my walls now. It took me forever to find a paint that was close to white but with the slightest hint of grey. Other brands had a similar tint to rock salt but it was always more blue or cream looking than a proper grey

@@Awwwsheeeeeeit Rock salt with dark grey carpets is soo lovely. A customer had that combo and I didn't want to leave the house 😄

What do you do when you need more paint? As you mixed the colour by eye, there isn't an exact formula for replicating that exact tint of grey again. Thats one of the drawbacks I guess thats stopping me from mixing my own paints.
@PaintingandDecorating3 жыл бұрын
It's very easy to mix a colour again just build it up to the colour you want slowly.. test on your wall and adjust accordingly.. very easy really. Thanks

the shade looks great on video, can I ask did it look true grey or was there a blue hue to it,? i'm trying so hard to find a grey that actually looks grey.

Hi mate I have noticed in all your videos you use a pure bristle brush, could I ask why as j was taught to use synthetic for emulsion
@PaintingandDecorating3 жыл бұрын
We use both but I prefer pure bristle mostly... synthetic are new... at one time only was pure bristle... thanks

@@PaintingandDecorating thanks for reply mate, I’ll give them a go and see how I get on with them instead of synthetic

1 question what type of paint can i use as substitute to vinyl paint? And the black color is it matte or an acry color?
@PaintingandDecorating Жыл бұрын
Lots of non vinyl emulsions to choose from. And the black colour is Matt. Thanks

Just a quick question out of interest what do you use when it comes to painting radiators?
@PaintingandDecorating3 жыл бұрын
Depends how the room has been painted in the past... sometimes oil sometimes radiator paint. Thanks

Shame that lovely paint job will be soon ruined by having cooker there with no splashback of any kind and no extractor either.

Why not use masking tape?
@PaintingandDecorating3 жыл бұрын
It would still not give you a straight edge.. the texture of the paper and the uneven ceiling makes for a rough line. Thanks

I don't use tape just an angled brush perfect everytime practice, practise I like Harrison brushes. ♥️♥️
