You used wrong critical value of t. you ran two tailed t test. but you considered the one tailed t critical values

Correct, thank you for catching that. The critical values for the two-sided test will be +2.26 and -2.26 (at 95% CL) or +3.25 and -3.25 (at 99% CL). Compared to the test, statistics still shows a significant result.
