Some of my family ( grandfathers elders in his family ) were killed by mobs in Lahore during 1947 partition, They killed all his aunties and elderly women, the men who survived only did because they were doctors ( Hakims ) and used too help people who were sick, they later converted too Islam and didn’t leave Lahore as they were told not too go too India, When someone from my family went too Lahore much later too visit our Old Pind he was a Sheikh at the local Masjid and had a long white Muslim style beard and wore a Muslim cap, he was the only one from his family left, survived by blending in. Most likely he has passed by now.
