Have you seen the movie BARFI starring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The whole movie was shot in Darjeeling and is the only movie which has brought out Darjeeling in its true colours and essence.

I live in Siliguri city, 3 hours from Darjeeling. It is a very nice place but you need to be careful about some frauds like people selling small tomatoes and calling them cherries, bad quality tea and much more. Most of the fraudsters are not locals.
