I don't think that men being less emotional is due to the upbringing. But rather it is a evolutionary effect. Evolution has made us like that women are mothers because they are emotional. Men had to be mentally tough to survive to hunt in the past so it is still in us it is how our body has adopted to survive according to our roles .
