Dear Moazzam, Monument Taj Mahal was built according to persian architect by technicians brought from Persia. Many other monuments at Agra were built according to persian architect. I have visited thrice Agra for sight seeing. There are many daily train services from Amritsar to Agra. Please also be informed that non veg. dishes are sold by weight at Dhabas in city Agra but not in Delhi. Thanks.

मेरे दादाजी ने बहुत पहले एक बार बताया था कि 1922 में आंधी तूफ़ान के दौरान ताजमहल पर बिजली गिरी थी और कुछ पेड़ भी उड़कर आ गिरे थे जिस से एक चौथाई हिस्सा टूट के गिर गया था | .... अंग्रेज सरकार इसको दोबारा बनाने में कोई रूचि नहीं ले रही थी क्योंकि उस समय हिन्दू पक्ष ने इसके नीचे मंदिर होने की जांच कराने की मांग भी कर दी थी |.... लेकिन जब मुस्लिमों ने आगरा शहर में दंगे करने शुरू कर दिए तो आखिरकार सरकार को इसकी मरम्मत करानी पडी | .... ये और बात है कि मरम्मत के काम के बहाने उस वक्त के कलेक्टर ने इसके दीवारों में जड़े हुए कीमती नग और चांदी के वर्क निकाल लिए थे |

Aurangzeb asked him to choose between Chana and Gehu ( Wheat) to eat for rest of his life, Shah Jahan chose Chana [] As the Coffers were empty Aurangzeb raised taxes, and also invented a new taxes on Hindus called Zaziya, a tax for being non Muslim [] Those artisans who built Taj Mahal, there generations are still in Agra, today they make and sell marble artifacts [] When you will go to Delhi and see Humayun Ka Makbara, you will realize Taj Mahal was inspired from Humayun Ka Makbara, only difference is it is in White Marble [] There were lot of precious stones applied on the walls of Taj Mahal ( in Red Orange Green Blue Color), the British took them away [] Now what was the Inspiration of Shah Jahan behind Taj Mahal, from where it came...
