'Pakenham' service announcement at Sunshine station

From 30 September 2023 High Capacity Metro Trains entered service on the Sunbury line, running two citybound direct to Flinders Street services which were through routed to form outbound Pakenham services.
Here we here the announcement for one of these services at Sunshine station "Your next service to depart from platform 1 will be the 8.40 Pakenham, stopping all stations to Footscray, running express from Footscray to North Melbourne, stopping all station to South Yarra, stopping all stations South Yarra to Caulfield, then stopping all stations to Pakenham, via Flinders Street".

The same announcement would now be saying "Your next service to depart from Platform 1 will be your 8:40 service to East Pakenham."

That is a wild journey. Not even enough room on the PID to list out the stations. Interesting that it says "via. Flinders St" at the end rather than list Flinders St as a stop throughout all that but I guess that's standard to say it that way between direct Flinders St/City Loop options.

The last column needs to scroll vertically so all stations are shown. And consolidate the 4 - - - - into 1. No need to display the 4 it's skipping, just that it is skipping will suffice.

It probably said that to ensure passengers that it wasn't going to Pakenham via the City Loop.

It's actually perfectly valid - the train is heading into the city then out to Pakenham. wongm.com/2023/11/first-public-hcmt-services-to-sunbury/

I do find it weird and inaccurate how it announces "... running Caulfield then stopping all stations to Pakenham via Flinders Street". Is it turning around and going back to FS after it leaves Caulfield? Um no. The "via" statement is misleading and unnecessary. This is not the only place it happens.

ROFL... Wait til train arrives Flinders Street Station... "Train not taking passengers" or "Pakenham train on platform X is now cancelled" or "Train on platform X is now a Werribee service".

It's a HCMT test train for the purpose of taking passengers.
