Rafale cost more than 4x compared to J-10C while being 20% less agile and lesser range. For the price to performance ratio, it is undoubtedly a great purchase and addition to Pakistan air force.

Well Speed is much higher than Rafeal and the maneuvering ability. Secondly its much lower in price and PL 15 makes it more lethal. And when machine would be in Pak pilots. One can expect a total destruction of enemy.

fighter jet is not luxury car for showing off, it is just weapon for fighting, with 4 times cheaper of J10C vs Rafale, in real battle, Pakistan can send 4 J10C to 1 Rafale, J10C carries at least 4 PL 15 missile, assume Rafale carries 6 Meteors, that will be 16 PL 15 missiles to fire to each Rafale , in today's air battle, it is not just one by one or 4 to 1, it is system, both sides will have AWACS, to both sides can find the enemy jets at about the same distance, about 400 km away, J10c just reach Rafale to about 100 km and launch PL15, then fly away, with its M2.1 speed and Meteor no escape zone is 80 km, J10c can just run away, on the other hand, Rafale top speed M1.8, at 100 km range, it will not be able to run away from 16 PL 15 missiles s attack. and the pilot, if he is lucky, can taste some fantastic tea in Pakistan, with his eye blacken and swollen again.

Well said… and in any event… there is no way an aircraft can go so deep into enemy territory & return. Long range is only useful if you have to cross your own territory if the boarder is far from the air base. For CAPs, range is not important because the aircrafts can fuel in the air. The JF17 was made to meet the PAF needs again India & so is the modified J10 C… when India deployed 5 Rafael in their northern boarder with China, China deployed ONLY TWO (2) J10s to counter this threat… meaning two (2) J10 are more than enough for 5 Indian Rafales!

The Chinese and Pakistani air forces have conducted many confrontation exercises in recent years, including the J-10C fighter. Therefore, the Pakistani pilots have a mature understanding of all aspects of the J-10C. It is not surprising that Pakistan finally equipped the Chinese J-10CE fighter. .

The only country the J-10 has been offered to is Pakistan, in the early 2000’s and now they are taking them. J-10 is also basically a production version of Israel’s lavi. So not sure why people are under the impression the design is of “low quality”.

Actually, Pakistan will know more about Chinese jet technology more than India. China and Pakistan keep any advancement in technology classified. Pakistan will gage the rapid rate of technological advancements China is dishing out, especially in electronics and AI. Apparently China leads the US in AI technology. I am also sure there will be some technology transfer in the deal. The technology transfer is the most important for Pakistan. China will accommodate Pakistani pilots in vigorous test excercises on the J10 before Pakistan makes a decision.

I think it’s a good strategy by Pakistan , j10c is a very good aircraft capable of countering Rafael. Rafael is four times more expensive meaning it will cost 4 times more for parts and maintenance.

PL has longer range than Rafael. Not even America 5th generation jet have this range. Which mean J10 can shoot down Rafael before Rafael can even see it. Also, speed is the biggest factor in air to air combat.

@@cyberpunk7997 Not really, if you assume 3% of GDP for defense then at a $5 trillion GDP it's $150 billion / year which is double what it is now. At $10 Trillion, it's $300 billion/ year. It just requires forward planning. This is what the budget will be in about 10-15 years.

@@BigOil18 bro I think you have a misconception about the budget😅 GDP = private consumption + private investment + government investment + government spending + (exports - imports) when we say 5Trillion dollars GDP... we include all of them the budget presented in the parliament is only the Govt Spendings... which is around $330 Billion... from this spendings around 13- 15% is alocated for defence which is around 70 Billions...from that over 50% consumes in salaries and pansions from rest of the 50% (35Billions) we need to take care of Army, navy and Air force... so Its unrealistic for now😅

All Indian News outlets are lying. The Pakistani J10CE planes have 139.5 KN of thrust because they have the Chinese WS10B Thrust Vectoring Engine NOT the weaker Russian Saturn Engine.. This extra thrust also makes the Radar more effective and brings the J10CE much closer to the Rafale's performance. The higher altitude ceiling of the J10CE compared to the Rafale means that the PL15 missiles will have much more kinetic energy and range. The low altitude celing of the Rafale means that the Meteor Missiles will have greatly reduced range and kinetic energy. A Eurofigher Typhoon and launch a meteor missile from 55,000 feet and it's the real Meteor, not the export version India has. The Indian meteor export version launched from a Rafael's low altitude celing only has 60% of the range.

J-10C kind of looks like a twin engined F-16. I hope that parts and maintenance training come with those jets. An aircraft can only stay in the air so long before it needs maintenance.

The J10 actually a good plane and value for money. I have a feeling there will be some tech transfer included in the deal which will be enormous advantage for Pakistan since India cant make planes.
