Pakistan dam construction: Ambitious multi-billion-dollar project underway

With a price tag of about 14 billion dollars, it's the country's most expensive project.
When complete, it will help ease the energy crisis.
But its construction is facing possible delays, because of security concerns.
Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder reports from the Diamir district in Pakistan.

No! We don't need big dams like this. They can fail in floods and currently 18% of electricity is wasted on transmission lines.. We need lots of smaller dams like India. We have 150+ they have more than 5000 smaller dams. They did very well with the flooding two years ago for this reason while a third of pakistan was under water.
