You missed a point that why the ruler Hari Singh agreed to sign the Instrument of Accession with India while he wants to be independent state. When India and Pakistan gained independence in 1947, Maharaja Hari Singh initially sought to remain independent. However, facing an invasion by tribal militias from Pakistan on October 22, he requested military assistance from India, agreeing to accede to India in return. The Instrument of Accession for Jammu and Kashmir was signed by Maharaja Hari Singh on October 26, 1947. Pakistan's point:- India's acceptance of the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to its territory despite the Muslim-majority population's desire for independence or accession to Pakistan could be seen as a deviation from the plan's principle of respecting the wishes of the people in princely states. India's Point:- Pakistan, on the other hand, initiated the invasion of Jammu and Kashmir by tribal militias in 1947, which could be considered a violation of the principle of maintaining peace and stability during the transition period outlined in the Mountbatten Plan.

@@RahulKhanna4653 if the people of kashmir were willing to join pakistan then it was not an option for hari singh to remain independent.. pakistani militia had to intervene because they knew kashmir will face the same fate as hyderabad and junagarh..

@@awaisee4742 As a ruler he can decide for his kingdom. As now balochistaani people are asking for seperate country, should they be given seperate country? Who will decide this, Pakistaan government or Balochistani people? Now Gilgit people are also asking for merger with India. Should it be given based on people demand.

@@RahulKhanna4653 as per 3rdjune plan the princely states were given the option to join or remain independent and it was going to be decided on the basis of a plebiscite and not on the sole basis decision of ruler. and now the scenarios are different in case of balochistan and GB..kashmir accession issue should be viewed in the histroical context of independence at that time..

@@awaisee4742 That's why they choose to remain independent. Once the invasion happened he has left no option other than signing document of Accession to seek India help. Then Jammu and Kashmir becomes part of India legally. If you see UN resolution on this to conduct Plabecite 1. Pakistan first has to withdraw it's army and tribal from occupied terriotory. 2. Once ensured then India has to withdraw it's military and has to keep minimum for security. 3. Then Plabecite will be conducted. Without 1st step, Plabecite can't be conducted.
