Old pns shahajhan was badly damaged in 1971 war , and pns tippu sultan just managed to escape in 1971, but no money, no diesel hence most likely will stay anchored in karachi Or gwadar but in gwadar port danger of being sunk by baloch liberartion fighters or chinese maal not in working conditions, if trucks break down people push it, but if ship breaksdown in the middle sea what will they do.

The audacity to name their ship Tipu Sultan is peak Identity Crisis. Mysore kaha aur Pakistan kaha 🤣 Edit. I am a Keralite and the biggest brunt of Tipu's military confrontation Happened in his Kerala Campaigns. He defeated the Kingdom of Cochin and entered the Capital City of Thrissur(where I come from), but he didn't destroy the Ancient Shiva Temple(still the busiest temples) that was in the center of the City. After crossing Thrissur, the Hindu Nair Dominated Army of Travancore defeated Tipu Sultan and he had to run back to Mysore. His Rocket Artillery never worked in the harsh forests of Kerala. But I would still appreciate Tipu because he did beat the shit out of British by using these rockets and Indians must own him, despite his crimes against Malabari Hindus and not let these Pakistani lowlives claim them.

Moreover the sensors used in gorshkov are much more superior than grigorovich..... The surface to air missiles used in gorshkov is more powerful and has a longer range than grigorovich's.... Moreover it has zircon 💀(well... That's not the matter.... We could have installed brahmos)

Same way Arleigh Burke class DDG's fire 1500km+ range Tomahawk Antiship Missiles (TASM's). They definitely don't have 1500km+ radar ranges, but use Datalinks and Bearing-Only Launches. With datalinks, the launch platform can use targeting data from a maritime patrol or AEW&C aircraft, or another ship or shore radar that is closer. Realtime target data is handed to the launch platform. For a Bearing Only Launch, the launch platform may passively detect radar emissions from an enemy vessel (you can detect faint radar emissions much further away than that radar's detection range). The launch platform fires on a bearing and range estimate based on triangulation of the target (it's called Target Motion Analysis, or TMA), and relies on the missile's active radar seeker for target acquisition. Risky, as you might kill the wrong ship at a similar bearing/range.
