Pakistani here too. I can speak English, urdu, balochi, sindhi. I speak quite a bit of foreign languages arabic, japanese, german and hindi. I can also speak some punjabi and siraiki aswell. Cheers.

The culture ,food and Language from Lucknow are good but it is not from the soil of Kasoor and Chakwal.My late father was a freedom fighter with Neta ji and later with Nehru ji and he swore partition was a mistake.Plenty of Punjabi Hindus in Delhi still speak Punjabi. Punjab is not that far away from Delhi.We were Hindus from Jaisalmer circa 1700 AD and were converted to the Arab desert religion by the Sword of Aurangzeb and fled to NW Punjab afterwards@@msr7373

Alhamdulillah we learned to speak urdu more than people in pakistan 🙈 thats what i have seen atleast whenever i visit pakistan. Aise lagta hai sab urdu bhool gaye hain, leking samajh nahi ati kyun. Idk why some people don't bother to teach their children the regional language and just run after english just to be sophisticated and to set a standard high. I speak POTHOHARI and I believe it's a dialect of Punjabi. Nothing to shame if you want to speak other language. What's wrong with you? You wrote the your comment in the same non native language. English is our official language, nothing wrong to adopt it.

Pakistani right here. I speak English, Urdu, Pashto and Farsi. In the past few months, I have picked up Brahui, Pakistan's oldest language which is a remnant of the Harappan culture or Pakistan's Indus Valley Civilization.

Seemed like a mix up of languages. He said something like “mera bhai kidda vaiso” bhai is an Urdu word and kidda is in many dialects of Punjabi. Never heard “vaiso” I am pothwari speaker, and if I were to say what he intended “my where brother where are you”, I’d say “o mara praa, khuddar yo”

@@hishu741 in Seraiki, you use the word bhai for brother? I don’t know Seraiki so you can better inform but this was not any variant of Hindko similar to Pothwari.

Potohwari is the local language in ISB-RWP. My father spoke it well.He is no more and now we have these people who can barely speak any language other than English. OMG!

This was an impromptu session where 14 n 15 Yr olds spoke on the spot. The question was how many languages can someone speak. Feeling ashamed of not being able to speak a specific language has nothing to do with it .

@@MisterTMHIslamabad, being the capital, is home to many transplants. My family is originally from a village south of Rawalpindi in Kallar Syedan tehsil, we still speak our Pothwari tongue even here in Canada. I can understand Urdu but cannot speak it without mixing it up with Pothwari Punjabi.

It's sad to see Punjabi Dying in Islamabad and people no longer speaking Punjabi anymore... the fact it was spoken by more than 55% of Pakistan in 1972 and now so many people have left their Mother Tongue

Only in Islamabad. Islamabad and Karachi are very ethnically diverse so new generation mostly speak Urdu

Girl I was born in Pakistan but grew up in US but I am recently in Korea but I can literally speak 12 languages😅 While learning people were complementing me for the reason that Pakistani's have great learning speed and here people only know 4 It's pretty shocking😂

Very sad. No one can write it either and all the traditional seasonal festivals that come from the Punjabi soil are dead in Pakistan. They just have meal time, prayer time and sleeping time.Thank goodness for Indian Punjab and the Sadaar jees!!
