Stinging words from Pakistan's own member of Parliament on its current state of affairs. Speaking in the National Assembly of Pakistan, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said there was nothing to celebrate about getting a loan from the International Monetary Fund.
Pakistan has recently secured a $1.1 billion loan from the IMF as a part of its last tranche of $ 3 billion bailout to avoid a default. He also had a not-so-subtle dig at the establishment and took a dig at the Pakistan Army saying they have reduced people's representatives to mere puppets.

Compared to India, Pakistan received a lot of resources and geopolitical support just after the independence. Even when India approached other countries for help, most of the countries denied help to India as most of the countries believe a diverse country like India will never exist and soon our country will face internal issues and split into pieces. After 77 years of independence when I drop this comment as my nationality as an Indian, I feel myself proud to be born in a country like India where people are divided by their diversity but united by the word India.

They are slowly wiping out the entinticity of the region in the favour of communalism. For eg. One way for Pakistan to improve is to stop thinking about India and start focusing about their own country. Pakistani MPs at the very least can only make such statements beyond that nothing much can be done. If you go against the establishment I think they know what will be their situation.
