One of the Pakistan Railways British built Electric Locomotives is seen hauling a passenger train (1994). Pakistan Railways (PR) stopped using its electric locomotives BCU30s for passenger trains in mid 2009. The service was introduced in 1970 on Lahore-Khanewal section.

Back in early 1990s, we travelled in trains run by these from khanewal to Lahore, however, speed was slower than diesel locomotives.

i remember that their PMTs/poles had a warning of 25000 volts (correct me of I am wrong) written on them :)

Guys ...you should in your country campaign with your Government to bring back electrification of your railway system..Electric Railways bring down pollution and also save huge amounts of precious foreign exchange bills on imported oil..

Gone with the wind Balore Was Railway Minister and Abdullah Khilgi was Railway Secretary and some other people's sold out cable it was pure cooper poles are still stand this system with locomotives was round about 50 Arab they sold out in 10 Arab no body talk about this it's need open case against Basterd Balore and Khilgi.
