From 1955 till 1990, railcar was considered to be the best inter city mode of rail transport. It was composed of one master + one trailer or one master +two trailers or simply one master. The railcars were supplied by Austria, Germany and Japan. Jallo Dabba, Ghazala, Subuk Raftar, Subuk Kharram, Noori and Rehbar were the best services of Pakistan Railways in the mid 1900.

This clip appears to be from Peshawar, where its crossing the Suri Pul (Bridge) next to Radio Pakistan and Provincial assembly. Best mode of transport between Peshawar-Pindi in those days. Thanks for sharing 🙏.

Real Rail Car used to run between Rawalpindi and Lahore comprising of three coaches including One Rail motor coach, one Ac parlour coach and one Economy class coach.

Real Railcar rack was stopped in the end of 1976 or start of 1977. Till 19/09/76 I was the Incharge of this department. After real Rack it was running with other Locomotive & normal Cochise. There were two routs one from Karachi to Badin other from Karachi to Mir pur khas ( Sind ).
