Pakistan Railways Green Line Express hauled by a 2000 hp Ziyang Caterpillar arrives at Karachi Cantt: from Margala on its inaugural run on 16 May, 2015.

AoA engr255. I believe you are one of the maintainers of pakistanrail.com and one of the cofounders of PRHS. Just want to get in touch. I have seen PR deleting many of the veteran locomotives these days including GMU-15, GMCU-15, ALU-95/12, ARU-20 etc. I am curious in knowing what role PRHS is playing in heritage preservation? I feel PR should preserve at least one locomotive of each class for display at the Golra Sharif museum. So many of them have become obsolete, we should try to preserve what is left. Yesterday I saw an ARU-20 breathing its last at the PR locomotive graveyard in Mughalpura Lahore.

The insatiable appetite for the State land is the biggest hurdle in acquiring space to house the retired locomotives. The Golra Museum is established on the Pakistan Railway Land which is being eyed by the Land predators . PRHS can only try to document the historical aspects of PR, which we are doing presently. Just pray that the wheels of PR keep turning and the motorways do not gobble up the Rail track.

@@pakrailspotters You guys have done a termendous work which deserves appreciation. pakistanrail.com was last updated in 2016. Any plans of updating it with the recent arrivals (ZCU-20/30,GEU-20/40)? Moreover, can you please educate me on what initiatives PRHS is undertaking these days? Is there a whatsapp number where you guys can be reached?

I think its was rare event as ZCU-20 6427 was leading first time from Karachi..Whereas ZCU-20 Leads GreenLine from Lahore to Islamabad. ZCU-30 /HGMU-30 Locomotive Leads GreenLine From Karachi to Lahore..
