Mahabharat is the story of Hastinapur Kingdom mainly. There were two brothers : Pandu and Dhritrashtra. Dhritrashtra was the elder brother but since he was blind from his birth then he was not given opportunity to rule the kingdom. Dhritrashtra married Gandhari (Princess of Gaandhaar) but since she was not told before marriage that the person she is marrying is blind from birth, so she felt really sad and betrayed. But for the respect of her husband she took the decision to remain blind folded all her life. That caused Shakuni (the brother of Gandhari) a sorrow and anger towards the Hastinapur Kingdom. So he decide to take revenge by destroying the entire dynasty by his evil mind. Gandhari and Dhritrashtra had 100 sons known as Kaurav. Pandu was the younger brother but ruled the kingdom because his elder brother's disability. He married the Princess Kunti and Madri. With Kunti he had 3 sons (Yudhishthir, Bheem and Arjun) and from Madri 2 sons ( Nakul and Sahdev) known as Paandav. Pandu died because of a curse of Saint ( Rishi) and her wife Madri committed suicide because of this grief. Then Dhritrashtra became King and his children was not willing to give an inch of land to Paandavs. Before that a gambling game was organised by kauravs to win the share of Money and property of Paandavs and took back to Kauravas. In the same Draupadi was insulted and Dussasan ( the younger brother of Duryodhan, the eldest brother in Kauravas) try to outrage her modesty by pulling the saree worn by Draupadi. Then Draupadi chants and called for help from Krishn. Krishn helped her and in that game Bheem took the pledge to kill Dussasan and to wash the hair of Draupadi. Not to forget Bheesm Pitamah was the grandfather of both Pandavas and Kauravas. He was famous for his obedience towards his father. Because his father was willing to marry a fisherwoman. But father of that fisherwoman was worried that even after marrying my daughter with the king ( the father of Bheesm) their son will not be able to become next king because there is Bheesm already the Big brother. So to give her father the assurance that he will not be the next king and the son given birth by his daughter shall become the king, he pledged to remain unmarried whole life. This was called Bheesm Pratigya or pledge. Then only his name become Bheesm (before that he used to be called Devvrat)🙏🙏🙏

It is said that if something exists in this world then it exists in Mahabharata. If it does not exist in Mahabharata , then it doesn’t exist anywhere. Basically every single emotion , action , reaction ..everything is present in this epic. I very highly suggest you watch this epic…either this version or the BR Chopra version. Both have discrepancies but at least you will have a good enough idea about what the epic is . Trust me, you will not regret.

Mahabharat is a long epic saga. It's not easy to get the story just by seeing a trailer 🙂 It's not any religious book. It's a story which tells us what spoils relations,how to analyse situations, how to behave and react in different situation situations. Geeta is the most imp part of Mahabharat which gives u life lessons. In sanatan dharm there not a single book written on rules of dharm. Every book tells u different aspects of life,teaches you the consequences of different reactions in those situations. It's upto you how u understand and react in life and deal with the situations. In sanatan dharm we have choice to question till we are satisfied. In Geeta Lord Krishna keeps on explaining ,clarifying Arjun"s doubts until Arjun is satisfied. 🙏

Katha is a compilation of true events....while story is imaginary one..... Mahabharat is a Katha, having so many characters of 4 to 5 generations of a specific time period in South Asia....as per Indian historian, time line was around 3500 to 2500 BC, western historian fix it at 1500 BC.... Sialkot was Sagala, Pakistani Punjab was Madra Kingdom....Sindh was ruled by Jayadratha...

Mahabharat is the world longest poem written by Ved Vyas. Mahabharat includes the holy book Geeta. Mahabharat is a war between two set of brothers Kauravs and Pandavs. Pandavs win the war and then exile to Himalayas. Geeta is the conversation between Arjun and Lord Krishna when Arjun questions if it is ok to fight with his cousins, brothers, relatives.
