On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you prefer more up close and personal dogfights consider the IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battle series and experience intense WWII aerial combat over famous battlefields such as Stalingrad, Moscow, Rhineland and Normandy. Fight in and against Russian, American, German, British warbirds such as the P-51 Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt, Bf-109, FW-190, Spitfire, Hurricane and rugged IL-2 Sturmovik attack plane. You can also fly legendary SPADS, Fokkers and Camels in WWI dogfights over the trenches of WWI and discover your inner Red Baron! And all of this can be experienced in jaw dropping virtual reality!
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. @@utkarshchaurasia2233 Its a flying stealth brick. It doesnt have the same aerodynamic adventages as the Flankers because of its sharp stealth design. Thrust vectoring isnt a real adventage because the modern Flankers got it as well. On Airshows the Flankers are showing their suprior agility

India have already faced Pak f16 in 2019 where Su30mki dodged all the amram, which gave one mig21 a chance to successfully kill F16.

When you show the fight from tacview perspective, it's astonishing how close these missiles get to aircraft and how narrowly getting killed is avoided. Just a matter of few knots or degrees

seeing that missile chase you down and your escape was something special. Had it a bit more speed of the rail or a bit more lead on launch, you could have been admiring the view under a canopy :) Just those few seconds decided the fight, it's crazy to think about.

JF-17 fairly consistently had problems crossing Mach 1 throughout this fight, always placing its missiles at disadvantage. So at this point it's not just luck, but a downside of a heavily armed light fighter.

@@neniAAinen you got a point. Acceleration is probably a very important metric in BVR since you need to regain speed quickly after initial salvo and dodging to give your subsequent missiles more energy.

Awesome work as always GS, I particularly Iiked the smooth frametime consistency that you managed to obtain whilst still keeping the graphical fidelity so high. I also really appreciated that you took the time to include a Tacview of the entire engagement, especially for a BVR fight!

@@koishily ya exactly this, if I knew there was no missile I would have killed him with follow up missiles but I played it safe defended. if you recommit thinking there is no missile you get inside the MAR and all of sudden a TWS missile goes pitbull and smokes you in the face, its better to defend and be safe unless you KNOW he didn't fire a missile (but how could you know?)

Love the videos, I hate to ask! But... I would love to see some BVR with the Typhoon versus say late gen Flankers etc, particularly using the super cruise and high altitude, 65,000 service ceiling with quite high mach and data link to the meteors, scuttlebutt is that this is an underestimate, with the objective to look-down shoot-down the bigger lower flying Flankers but they are flinging hypersonics back at the Typhoons. Just a thought.

Please let us know when the LCA Tejas mod is available. This BVR engagement with the Astra Mk-1 was terrific, would love to see the Flanker MKI pitted against the F-15 EX. That would be your weight to counterweight kinda fight which you sometimes do by pitting old/dated aircrafts against new/superior ones Today's we have Republic day here in India btw, so great timing 🇮🇳🔥👍❤️

Interestingly, i feel like the Su-30 vs the F-15EX would emphasize the country's doctrinal differences much more than your normal Eagle vs Flanker fight, which is pretty damn near even. It would basically be pitting the 4.5th gen king of supermaneuverability against an unparallelled spamraam god.

Su-30 MKI is more of an equivalent to the F-15 C/D variant. The F-15 EX is way ahead.

@@asmityadav4216 No it wouldn't. The F-15 EX has the best radar and avionics that the US could put in it. And the US is decades ahead of Russia in that regard. The Russians don't even have a proper AESA radar yet.

As always, I congratulate you for the excellent fights, for the good and impartial videos, I say this because I have seen other simulation videos in which your compatriots fight with all the advantages to make only the North American teams seem invincible, but the reason why the one I am writing to you is to suggest that given the geopolitical circumstances you make a simulation of an intersection that could occur in reality, this would be that of a su-34 intercepted by a euro fighter or by an f35 and the combinations that could occur in the Actually, Su-35 vs Eurofigter in bombing duties or F-35 in close support to NATO troops, what do you think of the idea?

Wow incredible timing GS...Today at Republic Day of India we saw a picture of Tejas Series Production with Astra MK1 integrated. DRDO also working on Astra MK2 which has Dual Pulse propulsion which will give it more Range and better No Escape Zone.

Informative debrief. Watching that missile close in from behind, I thought it was going to be one of those "I think I'm gonna be OK-" (WHAM!) moments. Does this sim support a "missile's-eye-view" display?

Now Pakistan got J-10c and India got Rafale. This is very impressive though. The Su-30mki looks awsome. Would love to see it against more jets like the F16, F18, Chinese J11 etc. Love your tacview discussions. Very information and enjoy learning about dogfights.

No pakistan haven't officially bought j10c. First they have to arrange funds somewhere probably begging loan.

J10c is in different category to Rafale. Both can't be compared, it would be unfair for J10c to be compared with more capable Rafale. J10c is in the same league with F16 and would be comparable with upcoming Tejas Mk2 with both having single engine and similar payload capacity.

Excellent show as always. Would you please do a BVR fight between Taiwanese F-16C and Chinese J-16 which is actually an upgraded model of Su-30 MKK carrying PL-15 missiles? Thanks!

well ROCAF doesn't have F-16C (what they do have are F-16A/B Block 20 and a handful of F-16Vs) and J-16 is more closely linked to J-11BS (and by extension SU-27UBK) than MKK. It'd be awesome to see those two (F-16A block 20 or the newest F-16V, as well as the actual J-16) in game, but sadly neither seems to be on the horizon =(

@@schwerter_1053 J16 is more linked to the J11D models, sporting AESA radar and a large amount of composite material used for construction.
