Yes, thin card of ATM card size. I am using it. There is chip type material inside d card. We link it with bank a/c. The amount is automatically deducted from the a/c.

I was traveling from Pune to Kolhapur and my car doesn't have a Fastag they charged me double the price of toll. And on every toll I passed I saw Hundreds of people installing the fastag.

Recently went from Bangalore-Mangalore and Fastag was working absolutely best. Initially there were lot of hitches as machines were not working and people were stuck at tolls for 2-3min and there were huge queues of vehicles. But this time all machines were working and passed the toll in matter of 5-10seconds.

Now at toll plaza, they have hand held scanner as backup. In case automatic scanner machine fails.

You are right. One day I noticed that there was mist on my windshield due to which my fastag could not be scanned. Then a person came, cleaned my windshield and scanned my fastag with a hand held scanner.

I am a transportation engineer and expert in US. This technology was invented in US a long time ago. I personally use this and good to know that India has adopted it. There are few differences however; we don’t have to slowdown while driving on our freeways

Here in India two wheelers like bikes, scooters and three wheelers like auto rickshaws are exempted from payment of toll taxes. Great reaction video from both of you 👍

Within 2 years, toll payments will be upgraded with GPS fitted in vehicles and there would not be any toll plaza. This would be very economical to toll contractors too, as need not to incur expenditures on toll plaza infrastructure and employees, in addition to lot of saving in time and fuel for travelers. As informed by the Transport Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari.

Road taxes on different vehicles r different too. Regular vechicles come on white number plate , commercial taxi etc with Yellow background number plates.

Sir there is rule that anyone who living in 10 KM circle from toll plaza they have ID cards so they don't want to pay toll tax only on that toll plaza ..plz update .

Number plate Private vehicle ka colour white hota hai ,commercial vehicle ka colour yellow hota hai aise hi Military vehicles aur Diplomatic vehicle ka colour different hote hain....
