This just goes to show you how important knowledge is in this game. This is by no means a broken good deck, but he does so well because he knows not only his deck inside and out, but also the opponent's. We had people play way better versions of this deck at our locals yesterday (non-budget versions) and none of them did very well because they don't have the same knowledge as PAK.

@@johnnickfanaccount3492 I didn't say it wasn't good. I just said it isn't "broken" good, aka tier 1 or tier 0 level. It is a good deck. my point is for guys like PAK ripping through Kash and other tier 1 decks like branded, it has a lot more to do with knowledge than the deck because plenty of people play a better version of this deck than PAK was using and don't do as well.

I once had an opponent who teached me many combos in my new hero deck. I thought I couldnt break his board, but he showed me how to play around it and lost the round. He gave up his safe win to help me His reason was "When I win, because my opponent is unexperienced and don't know the timings, then I am not a good duelist. Its win win, you get better, and I get a better opponent" Very nice guy
@lifedeather

@@Walygo yep same mindset I have and others as well. Winning is cool and all but sometimes it feels better to help the opponent learn and get better even if you take the loss. Especially at locals where a lot of players may be more inexperienced or unfamiliar with their decks or yours, dropping them some tips is always super nice and appreciated. It’ll also net you a better challenge in the future for instance or you might make a new friend! All around wholesome and feel good thing to do 🙂

I absolutely like this series and I am watching it with joy. I haven’t seen such a creative way to show how to start with a 30$ Deck, then slowly upgrade it and even show that you can beat every deck with „only“ 30$. This inspired me so much. I always loved YuGiOh from watching and playing but when I started playing locals I spend way over a 100$ to buy a deck wich seemed to perform good. But I won…let’s say…of 6 tournaments „only“ 1. Rest I went 2/2 or lower. That’s why I thought I can only win with expensive decks. But you showed me the opposite with creativity. Keep doing this type of series please. Have a nice day 👍🏻

So, I think because of the format we definitely need to invest in Nibiru and some more varied board breakers like Kurikara and/or Interupted Kiaju Slumber since we're already playing Kaiju. We could also try and fill out our extra deck. Bagooska for those worst case scenarios, a second Zeus like you said, and maybe an Accesscode/Borrelsword just for edge cases to close out a game. Then of course consistency tools. Extrav and Prosp. Maybe a Heavenly Prison or 2 since Labrynth seems to be having success with it.

That pricing is ridiculous. Maybe they paid high entry fees for all the extra price support. But this definitely isn't normal for a 5 round local We often got 100 man locals here with 6-7 rounds and get like 2 packs for participation and a few more for top cut.
