Here is my first run as Paladin Tank in Temple of the Spider Master version! This is mainly just the boss fights with me giving commentary on how I played it. We definitly took a few tries on each boss, and I learnt a hard lesson on that 2nd boss. You have to position correctly or everyone dies!

Finally, thanks. Watching your video makes me realize I'm doing great with 1st boss after all... just need a better healer. Will continue your video when I reach 2nd boss lol

Thanks a lot for the video! Tried your build on my paladin. I was invincible. No deaths until last boss, when I got 5 stacks of the debuff and our cleric got cocooned. First run with this build and - ta dah! - victory xD

Its nice to see I have been using the right encounters on my paladin trying figure out what to use. Binding oath is insanely brilliant throughout. Thanks for the guide. What companions are you running out of interest?

Just a bunch of comps that give defense, awareness, crit avoid and some deflect, basically just what I have on mythic. I ideally should have like the Lich and Regis with Breunor

Side note, but kinda related: IMO, the best tank/healer combination you can have in queues is a Paladin and a Cleric. It is quite easy and comfortable keeping a Paladin alive, for me it is the easiest of the 3 in that regard.

ok. May I ask: what makes healing a paladin easier than the other tanks?

@@Aragon- Simple put, mostly because I don't know the names for their encounters; dailies and such from the top of my head, between all of them, it just feel like Paladins always have that little extra fat to burn, extra layer of protection that they can throw in to mitigate damage for a little longer, especially in 'OH FCK" momments. But I might be biased because the tank that I run 90% of the time with is a Paladin, but whenever I get a Fighter or a Barbarian, it doesn't feel as chill.

They both can get the job done. I would still say Fighter is easier for tanking bosses, but not so good at getting threat on the adds

Sorry a question, why do you use a paladin if you put fighter tank in S+ rank, and the paladin tank in S. Thank you

I tried a couple of times. It takes much effort (sweat and blood lol) to balance between healing and saving some divinity for critical situations. Unfortunately our team lacked damage and we killed only 2 bosses and failed the last one. So I can't say much. Anyways tanks feel good with thise extra hp to survive mega blows from bosses.

A Paladin Healer with a good group can do it fine, so I've heard. But I have yet to heal it for myself

I’ve completed as paladin heal. if you have a good group, doing correctly mechanics u can do it. Just pay attention on your divinity management.

Fighter is doing ok, just need a few more companions upgraded. Yes I do share insignias between characters, but I don't have a full set of mythic Tanking insignias, they are still all legendary and not the right ones. I only have Healer/dps mythic inisgnias

@@Aragon- Yes, I have to upgrade a load of Epic Evasion, Courage and Refuge. I have some Legendary Initiative. But I use dps Insignia when solo, with my AoE Dwarven Mob Cleaver Tanking build, which is OK for killing mobs in a more dps Stylee. A bit slow, but I just don't like the Dreadnought. The Iron Vanguard has always been better, although not so much since Mod 16. I'm using your Vanguard Dwarven Boss Basher build for Bosses! {:o:O:}

Smite does less damage the lower your divinity. It's only good for content with tank swap in my opinion. Threat multiplier on Templar's wrath is x8 (I think) the magnitude it displays in the tool tip as aaragon mentioned in a previous video discussing threat on paladin.

Pero smite genera igual x8 con divine challenger y si lo mantienes te tira entrecomillas en la barra roja aunque es st, pero lo de la magnitud reducida mediante divinity como que dudas solo unos pocos. Y la mayoria juegan con smite y divine challenger los palatank ( y algunos usan vow of emity para complementar más aggro pero ahi son 50/50 la gente que usa esa combinación ), aunque la mayoria de palatanks van con smite y divine challenger, yo soy mas de usar Divine Champion/Pallisade y agarrar aggro con vow nomas ( en la mayoria de jefes ), lo demas es absolution y binding, y si voy contra mobs uso el stun, y si, uso una build ultra defensiva. Pero hay dps muy ofensivos que me obligan a usar smite y divine challenger, y a veces si no funciona, usar la vieja confiable llamado offtank.

Y lo de 50/50 con el smite/divine challenger + vow of emmity es por el video de Arkhadiam que trató a ese tipo de tankes que no saben como funciona el aggro.

Templars Wrath has, yes, x8 threat multiplier with x5.5 from our passive modifier. So any damage we deal with Templars is multiplied by 44, and that is how much damage the enemy thinks you deal to them. If you hit for 100k the enemy thinks you deal 4.4 million. And so it makes it very easy to keep ahead of Dps on threat

As I said in the video, it is my first time tanking here and a dead tank is a useless tank. Better I survive when I'm learning and when I get more confident I can switch to more team support!
