Well any tank based mainly on shielded is going to have a hard time when we have an item that gives us a lot of extra dmg against shields.

Raum is pretty weak compared to koa and insta or even ash,he is pretty slow and almost no movement XD,and no shields and biggest hitbox,and a pretty weak ult But yeah of course he is op to the people who are dumb enough to not exploit his weakness

He already has 8500hp, he doesnt need a shield on top of that. And i dont get why u wud say it is a bad ult. Its an inara ult which does twice as much dmg, and goes through shields and inara has a really good ult.

@@SabsWithR I don't want to argue but I have played this game enough to know what works and what gets countered pretty hard And huge health doesn't mean much if you don't have enough damage reduction or something to shield,his movement can be CC'd ,it okayish,he doesn't have other utilities which other tanks have in their abilities,he is very very slow while firing and huge hitbox so dps can chunk out his health easily He can be strong but not as OP as an inara with those DMG reduction and cc,koa with his op hook and great mobility and good damage and op ult,atlas with his CC utilities and instant self heal and great burst damage

@Lee McDonald No damage? I've not been able to test him yet (thanks PTS) but according to most sources, he has the highest (or second) DPS of all tanks. Ruckus is more bursty and better at medium range but it definitely looks like Raum can outdps any tank at close range (where he is intended to play anyway) He only has CC on his ult, which honestly is already better compared to most tanks, but also you can use morale boost 1/2 + the legendary to incrase the ult charge by 60%, that way you can pretty much spam it like a normal ability, I think that's quite a lot of AoE CC and 1000 free damage. It's just plain better compared to Inara's ult just for the damage and the spam. Yeah barriers counter his healing mechanic and that's the reason I can see Wrecker being quite valuable with his already high dps (or just cover and wait a few seconds) Once the barriers are gone there is nothing you can do as a tank against him, he deals more damage and he'll heal all of yours. Hard focus is required to take him down, that doesn't apply to other tanks that much. Not to mention that he has the strongest escape and movement ability of all tanks which also deals 700 free damage and a good chance to knock people off the map. Most of what you stated as counters, actually counter every champion/tank in the game, (Terminus really?) so I don't really see your point. His only real weakness are snipers and long range champions, he can't deal with them nor heal himself. (not like the other tanks can deal with that anyway) If all that was not enough.. shield based tanks are hard countered by Wrecker, which basically means that mid-late game he'll be even stronger. Wrecker 3 Vivian (or any high dps) shits on shields so hard that you can barely see them being remotely useful in the game, Inara can also be hard countered by Bulldozer which is cheap af, leaving you with only 1 ability. Now you have Raum who can't be countered either by Caut nor Wrecker. I'm not saying that he is op or he (completely) outclasses other tanks, but is a fact that most tanks can be hard countered by one or two items.

@@leviathantsp then atlas is the best counter for him. Even with morale boost+talent that lets him ult more often, atlas can rewind him faster and more often with the cards that lowers his setback CD + with chronos 2/3. Also with ash's shield spam build she can prevent Raum from regenerating himself (wrecker wont work against her with this build as long as she can shoot her kinetic burst to an enemy face to face. Which is what Raum was made for)

@@genx339 What Atlas cards you mean? He has no Setback CD cards AFAIK, with chronos 3 you can lower it to 9 seconds, but that's it. Honestly I'd have to see how they perform against each other. The incoming Atlas nerf to his Rewind may hurt him enough to push him off the meta considering his already low HP, shield that lasts for nothing, setback that most of the players just don't use properly and usually ends sending enemies to safety, and now his main ability which is what makes him tanky is stopped by cripples... hmm and also I rarely see a shield build Ash and that's probably because it would make the entire enemy team to insta-buy Wrecker and then the build pointless after the first point fight. Sure, you can knock Raum away from the shield, but then what? Ash has a very short range on her weapon so you won't be dealing any damage to him if you knock him away while he can still deal damage to your shield. Actually with Wrecker 3 Raum should be able to deal around 3k per second to shields, which would melt the core of Ash's builds quite fast. At that point you'll be fighting a tank that you (literally) can't kill because of the self regen and who deals twice as much DPS as you do also at slightly longer range. This is taking into account an hypothetical 1 vs 1 situation that honestly I don't know how Ash could win, I mean even without Wrecker, Raum can just stay away where Ash shots can't reach and wait for her shield to run out, she *might* be able to create another one before she dies, but she has no way of healing so... Obviously in a real game, that won't happen, but then it's all about the team and champions, if none on the enemy team has Wrecker and you have a good healer, then sure, the build can work nicely, in the same way as if you have to fight Wrecker 3 Vivian + Viktor, then the build becomes irrelevant. Atlas, honestly, if someone on the enemy team has a Cripple ability and knows when to use it... he's done. I can already see Cripple Inara getting some love soon against Atlas. If I had to guess which tank could be the best against him... Maybe Ruckus at medium/long range where he can output more damage or Inara because dmg resistance and the fact that Bulldozer is not as popular as Wrecker. I guess Atlas could remain an effective ''counter'' as long as there are no cripples on the enemy team.

glowing mash and beans Ruam doesn’t really have that much burst compared to most tanks. After he hits someone he has to wait 0.75s to cancel then, 0.95s to start firing then 1.5s of shooting up to reach full rev up or wait 1.125s to use ignition to fully rev up after canceling the ability. So in total he deals around 700 burst damage after a dash and then starts dealing 900 damage around 2 seconds after.

PJ When he is increases his max health it cannot be cauterize since it isn’t healing. If he has max soul armor then he heals from the souls and can be cauterized.

@@KeravnosPrime Resilience is a thing, buddy and its not like its only ever going to be a 1v1. Other ppl will be shooting Khan. Atlas, if on point like a tank is suppose to be, doesn't really stand up to him, especially if he has some sort of DR. Youre also forgetting about the skulls that regen health for Raum that cant be caut-ed.

Terminus can't much against anyone with that long time self sustain, besides his stun have way less range than koa's. Agree with Prime, Khan will out sustain him if played smart. Not sure about atlas poking potential after the second chance nerf, he will probably get burst down before he stands against Raum.

No, but % damage, stuns and poking completely shut him down. Edit: Ruam with full soul armor can be cauterize since he only heals after that.
