I love it when worker placement games have 'types' of workers. It's both thematic and gives players a lot more to keep in mind.

As for the mistake at 15:15, I do this sometimes in all of the west kingdom games. There really needs to be a different coin or a different symbol for tax money because its easy to forget as the shades of brown are quite similar, especially when the regular coin and tax coin are not pictured next to each other.

Big mistake at 15:00. When you take the trade action, you take coins from the general supply, not the tax supply.

So...on the first turn...could have developed, which would have allowed you to play the building over the red guy needed for conversion, so you wouldn't have needed to gain any suspicion in the first place? Of course, since the missionary gets rid of suspicion and the inquisition shouldn't have happened, I guess that ultimately didn't matter - but since you are going to be doing a lot of conversions, not having to play the red each time seems reasonable and...since you do have the new paladin coming up on turn 2, you won't have to pay your money for conversion that turn anyway (or you could push it down to use later when conversion would be more expensive). This game seems like there is a lot going on. I really enjoy games where you have to really think about your decisions, but they also tend to be very difficult for most people.

This game - as weird as it sounds - feels like Orleans, except there's none of that interesting more direct engine building element in Paladins. So I'd prefer Orleans to this I think.

At 29:15, there’s a comment that the debt went away when the missionary was recruited. But I think you still have the debt; what you discarded was the suspicion.

Whoever designed this game played a LOT of Orleans. Some mechanics like covering up a spot to make the worker placement action easier on future turns, is ripped right out of Orleans
