Almost a whole year ago, I made a video discussing Paladins VS OVERWATCH! While the views were high, a lot of people weren't satisfied. And because this topic is part of my annual videos, I get another shot at the heated argument! I get to stand right in the crossfire... okay put like that it's not as cool. Yikes. But I've crawled back! More excited than ever, more skilled than ever, and always just as charming. So what's changed? It's been a whole year, stuff had to happen... and a lot did. Where we left off last year, both games were fighting for their lives, or what was left of it. Along side the fact that both games had faded into history, the numbers and interest were dropping. Fast. While Hi Rez was exploring new ways to bring attention, like partnerships and crossover events, Blizzard and OW were in one of the worst situations a video game and company could be in. With a lot of stuff happening behind the scenes at Activision Blizzard, once it was brought to light, which it did not long after, it took a huge toll on the game. And at this point, everything seems to be going terrible for both games... Blizzard especially... obviously. But something happened. OVERWATCH 2 was released! This was the last shot of hope for Blizzard...
So stick with me as we dive into this VERY interesting situation, and hopefully uncover the answer to the ultimate question... Paladins VS OVERWATCH 2 in 2023!

I use other people's gameplay in my videos. It is not plagiarizing as I always give credit to the publisher. I (at the moment) cannot use my own gameplay as I don't have a pc good enough to run a game and a screen recorder... And sometimes I don't have access to the game :)

I’ve always enjoyed paladins more than overwatch just for the sheer fact that the game is more diverse. With the bigger roster size, talents, loadouts, and items, no two matches feel the same and there are multiple ways to play every character. If paladins had overwatch’s budget/engine I feel it could be a top tier hero shooter. I wish more people would give paladins a real chance instead of just writing it off as a overwatch rip off.

after playing ow2 I played paladins almost after 6 months. 4 matches and 3 of them had one afk lmfao. sloppy movement, bad laggy server.why the hell anyone will play that game when game like Valorant,cs ow2 is out there. unless someone is playing for a long time and have never dived into other games with some real time, yeah those people will still play those game. or it can be someone who's new to gaming or fps and he or she was just introduced to this game by someone else and doesn't know much about other good games. a reasonable person who values his time will never play paladins

Ngl, I came into this expecting more face value commentary on Paladins and its gameplay but what I got was surprisingly more based. I've been saying this for a while now, that they don't invest properly into the game. Evil Mojo is a passionate studio of great people, a few of whom I've had the privilege of speaking with. But the game just doesn't get the proper resources from the management at Hi-Rez. It feels like the greatest mismanagement travesty of our generation. Instead of investing into their two successful games (Smite and Paladins), Hi-Rez just chases trends with RRR, ROCO, and now DKO. I just wish they'd show the true care to this game that it deserves.

I totally agree with this. I've been playing Paladins for a long time now and I genuinely care for the game. It makes me sad to see Hi Rez (with all of their talent and options) throw it away. And I truly believe the only way to make a difference is to say the stuff people don't wanna hear. The stuff that's hard because it's true. Now it's up to Hi Rez. What I (and many other people) have said can either make them or break them... they decide.

Paladins can't solve all the bugs or upgrade to Unreal Engine 4-5 because the game was coded in Unreal Engine 3 and the code is very old it means that they have to recode the entire game in order to make it work correctly and expect better quality etc but its very expensive. Its pretty sad in my opinion because the game has so much potential. The only thing I can think of to create a new hype for the game is that a bigger company buy the copyright of Paladins and fix the game.

That, along with the fact that dev teams have been swapped out so many times it's nearly impossible to change anything without another breaking. According to an ex-dev, they had 7 people coding the gameplay. 7. They had to make all the abilities, u.i, everything except for the art and skins. Fekin HiRez

For ranked for paladins, you need the ban system because you have 52 champions, instead of 32 in overwatch 2 and you can't swap character in paladins. I remember when some people quit the game during draft because of the our team composition or ennemy team

The story for both aren't that cut and dry. Paladins has almost a gun control like relative topic and story, but with those magic crystals and compile the threat of the abyss influencing the story progression makes it kind of interesting. Overwatch wasn't just about robots gaining sentience but it's more of that the robots are kind of a proxy for a war between Overwatch, Overwatch dark, and the talons. Which presents its own unique way of creating characters and more factions. They both have decent lore. Just certain characters and their lore needs hammered out a bit more.

Paladin's story was all over the place. It started with the Government Oversight vs. Freedom war but focused more on fighting demons, demigods and space bugs. And in contrast to all the media Overwatch is pumping out, Paladins just gets a short cinematic every now and then

The only reason I ever wanted to play Overwatch was because of Genji. Otherwise I loved Paladins. But I got tired of the game crashing every other match. I might just pick up Overwatch now I really miss the experience 😂

I like genji also, but he feels way too squishy, which means you hardly get to use his cool ability’s like his blade dash and ultimate. While In comparison Vatu from paladins is very similar and yes he’s squishy but you can get in and out way easier cause he has 2 dashes that can even heal you with the right cards. Vatu is just a better genji sadly. I still like both though and both take skill to play

I also like both games, but there is one thing that I really hate about OW and it is its community, for some reason they love to say that all other games copy OW, they make arguments for such silly things as Valorat "copied" them the start menu, which is a generic design, and since OW2 came out they complain about supposed copies even more, it annoyed me so much that in the forum I listed a list of characters and mechanics from other games in which Overwatch is inspired, to see If they calmed down and filled me with negative votes and insults, in the end I preferred to delete the message and repost it in a smaller forum

I once said that about paladins too, now it's my Absolute Favorite PvP Shooter. Cards, Builds, Talents, much better ability movesets, EVERY Champion was 3 Abilities. I just could play 1-2 Games of OW than I paused 1 week. PALADINS makes me play it almost every day more than 3-5 Games per day. Paladins has what I always missed in Overwatch. The only Reason why wanted to come back to OW2 was the PvE (since that jeff kaplans main focus since the release, but blizzard wanted to make it PvP since that genre sells good), but since Activision took over, wanted to rush the Game for fast Money like COD with overpriced DLC, and forced jeff to leave Since he cared, I'm not that really interested anymore.

My thoughts on how to fix paladins would be if a competitor to blizzard such as Riot or EA where to outright buy the game and essentially remake it. Update all of it to the latest engine that that company uses, put out a bunch of advertisements, add new gamemodes and maps and then go from there. Otherwise, under Hi Rez, nothing will happen and the game will probably follow spellbreak in shutting down in about a year or two

I love paladins. I played for the jank hit boxes when i was playing on my sub par laptop. I stayed because I was learning the surprising balanced mechanics like champion combos, item buys and card builds. I like the diversity of characters. I mean, I can play as a turtle, and that makes my day sometimes. It feels good to chill as a tank, pop a shield and watch the teamwork unfold. I'm still playing because the teamwork is amazing compared to a many games, even AAA. It's special to me.

The draft system in Paladins is to make it more akin to a MOBA where the same customization options apply. Ban characters/pick characters/customize characters. It's definitely not a system that was made for a shooter but the loophole is that it tries to be a true Hero Shooter (which imo should be called FPM or First Person MOBA) that perfectly mixes the fluidity of a shooter together with the customization of a MOBA. It takes time to get into Ranked in Paladins for sure but quite honestly, I believe the 7W/20L ranked system in OW2 is way more of a drag to go through because at least in Paladins you can after a game see how far you are while in Overwatch 2 everything is hidden behind a screen you can only see after winning a game.

I honestly don't see your problem with CC, you need it. If a mobile champion/hero is dominating the back line you are screwed if you don't have any CC. You don't want to buy items but they are an integral part if the game that exist to sway matchups. So many people complain that supports can defend themselves because they're not a free kill for dps in paladins. Look at how much supports have been nerfed in overwatch because they can fight back

imo, the card loadout+ talent is what's carrying Paladins to "stand against" OW2. Which is kind of a problem if they are going to implement the skill tree system in OW2 (Tho i still don't know if they are going to add it into PvP or not)

Here's my opinion on customization: there isn't any in OW2. All of it is cosmetic and basically requires that you spend money, while the customization in Paladins make champions feel diverse and fun to play. In Paladins, there is an extra layer of depth to champions that OW2 does not and will not ever have.

I loved playing Paladins, but ever since they changed how leveling the Battle Pass worked (where getting one level is a chore on it's own) that is what killed it for me. But during the time I played, it was so fun to play with friends. Many of the characters in Paladins were so much more fun for me to play, like preferring Maeve and Fernando over something like Genji and Reinhardt. Not to mention, card loadouts allowed me to change my playstyle with each character. Paladins has so much potential but I guess there is only so much Hi Rez can do with their budget.

Most things you said are valid, except the lore section, Overwatch's lore is what makes each character feel unique, they have their own problems and is not only robots gain sentience, there is also talon wanting to evolve humanity by using brute force. Each overwatch character is way more memorable than pladin's characters, and the lore is one big part on that, ramattra is an example of a character being popular because of his lore.

@@BonyArt6 cuz you didnt care for overwatch? is like asking why did you forget most things in math if youve been studying it for about 18 years of your life... or history, or american history, or language or just about anything you care about... the one major difference here is that it is easy to learn about the characters in overwatch since they do have animated shorts, and their character designs are pretty much original and iconic, so much that pala has copied most characters from overwatch. I am not saying pala has bad characters or they are unforgettable but overwatch has way too many original characters that one can say, oh yeah its from overwatch.

@Tensai4World Genji doesn't count as an omnic and the end will be a fight between talon and overwatch with the null sector being a side thing. Not all omnics are bad so that's the reason why they could not just use an EMP on the entire population of omnics

Tbh Overwatch 2 and Paladins alike feel like they don't offer the same (pre-bot) experience that Team Fortress 2 offers. TF2 rewards individual performance, movement skills and gunplay, while Paladins and OW2 rely too much on teamplay, abilities and meta to win matches.

Imo Paladins drafting has to be there for the sake of the game bc the Paladins balance is Not Very Good (PC and Console alike). They could streamline the drafting sequence as a whole by doing what another Hi-Rez published game does with drafts (and it has 100+ characters) Smite makes you first pick who you will ban, then you ban as an entire team. This may result in similar bans from both teams but it's easier than having to ban one champ at a time. I do like Paladins drafting at its core because of how the core gameplay is structured, they just need to streamline the banning process. You only play the one champion, so drafting helps you counterpick/out-draft. Smite makes people ban all at once and THEN draft their characters. Sorry if this does not make any sense but we need the draft and ban system so that broken flank characters don't get played in low rank lobbies and high ranks have more interesting games as far as comps go. Maybe increase the bans per team to four, there's over 50 champs in the game... so many flanks and dps have to be banned to have an actual good time in this game.

Paladins indeed has symmetrical maps, but that was a choice they made. The idea was not to give any kind of advantage to neither team when going to the point and controlling it.

And I don't know if there any benefits in overwatch maps, but paladins has simpler and smaller maps that used to waaay larger it's simply put easier to make them symmetrical to remove any possible advantages either team might have. If Paladins genuinely wants a chance to survive at this day and age, they need to spend an insane amount of money on developers willing to go through every nook and cranny and revive this game from the ground, being the current state of the game to new beginnings. However knowing Hi-Rez they will just give up and create half handed attempts at reviving the game like a new champion or a useless feature to create bugs and continue to go downhill.

When they announced that Genji skin for the OW 2 pass and said it was in development for like a year, all I could think about was all the skins that Hi-Rez have made within months that have better sfx, unique voicelines and even gender swaps.. It took Blizzard a year (likely an oversell) to do that for one character - why is Overwatch 2 so big?

I've tried ow2, and I have played paladins for 2 year i think, i thought that ow2 would be able to get paladins out of my life but that game just made me wanna stick even more with paladins. I just hate the way the supports works in ow2, and I'm gonna be honest, i prefer to deal with the thousands of cc that paladins have than have to change my god damn hero 3 times in a battls just to counter the enemy team... But I also like ow2, the main reason for me not playing it anymore is the poor performance on my PC...

I play both games even now and before i get ez 60 fps on OW but with OW2 now i barely get 55 fps..I still love both and play both, but Paladins super fast experience make u fell soo good when u are doing soo good..In OW2 is like Ult,Ability,Dmg Team Kill..And everything is slow..

The problem with the customization in Paladins is that champions aren't built around their kits, but rather their talents. To be good at higher levels of play, many champions need to be run with specific talents and cards instead of ones that're specific to each player.

I've moved from overwatch to paladins because of the problems that are constantly in overwatch, honestly I prefer it, I know and trust HiRez, never been disappointed with Smite so paladins can't be any worse

Bets way i can put it for me, is that i love paladins and the concepts behind it. The execution is just VERY lacklustre. On the flip side while i personally find ow2 to be a bit one-dimensional and dull at times the execution on what it does do is amazing. Im always going to play paladins because of the amount of control over how your character can be played and the ability to ban champions that you dont want to play against and how drafting poorly is then punished as it is not as simple as ill just switch to something else. However when i do play ow2 it is very fun for me, i just struggle to play it for elongated amounts of time. (Also in terms of how the maps are symmetrical i think this is due to both teams having to push the same distance and through the same objects so there is not any rng about who has an easier side to defend - could be wrong tho :) ) Loved the vid tho, actually made some amazing points comparative to alot of people who just fall into a slap fight whenever comparing the games

This is why I often play rather.. RANKED 😄 In 90 % of my matches (talking about the EU server).. there is always at least 1 tank (usually they are even 2 tanks.. one for capture point and the other as off tank).. and 1 healer champ. Yes.. I know some other people avoid ranked and go straight to casual matches.. but those pIayers often pick seIfish (,,I want to dmg class or flank and that is what I m gonna pick''. If they already have a champ in mind.. they even insta pick that champion. Yes.. there are some exceptions too.. but most of them (and outside rank mode) go for dmg / dps.. and some even when picking healer champ.. they pick the damage talent 😂 They p!ss me off.. so because of that I rather play ranked matches. Yes.. even the ranked mode can have 1 to even 2 trolling players in your team (they pick whatever they want.. instead of picking what the whole team needs.. like if they are 4th or 5th pick.. pick a tank or a healer if it's needed).. but that happens less often than compared to other casual modes (not ranked). I for example.. want to at least fairly often win. There is no fun if you get random picks by the players and you often Iose or as you said ,,team gets crushed by the other team who picked better''. I had a time when I played with a friend mainIy casuaI matches (he wasn't into ranked as much as I am).. but I often ended being / playing as the TANK (or him as the healer.. but at least he likes to heal). I can tank too or have matches when I like to Khan for example (off tank).. but my main class is damage class (damage champions).. and I get bored if I play mainly tanks (in many matches). At least in rank mode if I get some wins I can be (climb) in the first 3 picks (and in those early picks I can also go damage class or at least flanker). But in Siege mode for example.. I queue.. match starts.. and I see a bunch of players quickly going damage class or flank 😂 (and if I don't pick as quick as them) I have high chances of being needed to tank or go healer (and healer is my least played class). Back to ranked mode (and maybe some TDM too.. cuz in TDM you don't really need tanks as much as in siege or ranked mode. You only need 1 healer in TDM and the rest can all be dmg or flank class).

When I played paladins I solved this by playing the tank. I was often times better than the opposing tank cause they would likely just be a flex player. So I ended up rolling most of my matches up to diamond 2.

For me its simple Paladins made me come back 3 times already even without knowing what's new. In contrast, Overwatch 2 I only played occasionally in the first season and haven't felt like playing it once since Ramattra.

I just tried OW2 because of the small player pool in Paladins. In Paladins, I am at a high elo, and long with the bots, the afkers, the noobs or gold players brought in by mm, I just wanted a carefree game to play and shoot stuff. Hence why I have been trying OW2 for a bit. I feel like I am already disenchanted with the game. It's good and fun, but I don't see myself playing it seriously for months. Maybe it's just not for me, but I also think its pvp hero-shooter concept is weirdly executed (should have been 6x6, game modes lack the early, mid and late game stages, push game mode is just weirdly thought of, ults are really massive), the lack of variety and optimization is really rough for me and some classes/champs are not that fun to play. But it does look incredibly nice and runs as nice as it looks.

The ranked process of paladins is one of my favorite parts. I love hanging out in a parry with friends, discussing picks and counter picks that are then locked in. Making a team comp is half the fun, for me at least

Half of the fight is the ban phase, its turn by turn for a reason. The idea is to bait the enemy team screwing themselves over, like if enemy team has obvious ban strategy centered around frontlines, but your team has the 1st pick Join them, ban every good frontline and snipe the best frontline left :D But yes its slow and not really worth it currently..

in overwatch when my team is behind or loses the first clash it feels like ass to try and even it out and i don't feel like im helping the team if im not actively killing or healing someone paladins meanwhile even when behind it isn't as much as a pain to get back and even if im not actively healing or damaging someone and just soaking bullets i feel useful cuz i don't get melted instantly in overwatch unless im roadhog or have a healer huggin me it feels like my health dissapears insanely fast

The biggest problem of Paladins is the development team. They don’t fix the game, lag, bugs, the entire game is broken. I always like the gameplay of Paladins with the talents, builds and his characters are 100% more fun than Overwatch ones but the game is more unplayable with the time. Nobody should give that a change, a game that you can’t play (? Pls. I leave that game 4 years ago and i try it the last year just for nostalgic and it’s worst than before. Wanna play hero shooter? Play Overwatch or Apex but never try Paladins if you wanna have fun. If Paladins don’t have all of this problems definitely would be my favorite game but all we know they can’t fix the game.

While I don't know exactly what they're gonna do with the whole PVE thing now, but I feel let down. OW1 was amazing, they stopped updating it and let it die so they could focus on OW2 (... still not exactly sure why they did that in the first place XD). They promised us a story mode and a free multiplayer game... we only got and are now only GETTING 1. I don't really like it. They took the special (in my mind) OW1 and twisted it into some money hungry game, now it's all we got... idk man Anyway, what do you think?

@@PlayGreatGames as someone that is new to the Overwatch community upon the arrival of OW2, I was really looking forward to all the drastic improvements behind OW2 that made it a legitimate sequel. Now hearing that they scrapped it, OW2 looks like nothing more than a big patch that honestly the community didn't ask for. Which, looking at the irony of everything, is what the Paladins community is begging for!!! no more characters, no more map updates, just fix it lol. Get it on UnReal engine 5 and fix bugs and maybe some balance patches, and they have a solid game.

They reactivated somewhat the competitive with community tournaments and I think an echa by the company, although now there is cross play they are testing if that improves the rankings if they did not change it the next patch

The game modes and variety of queues like arena is such an overlooked aspect of what makes OW2 retain players, in paladins if you get burned out or sick of the main mode you're shit out of luck cause the only other mode is death match. 😂 In ow if you get burnt out on the push or payload maps you have 10 other modes to play.

ow may have a variety in queues, but paladin's variety is based on each champions (which are a lot more than ow2's) i mean you have a lot of talents and cards ow characters cant change

Overwatch forces you to rely on teammates, especially healers. Paladins doesn't force you to rely on them by giving you an autoheal. Overwatch recently ruined their customization system, and Paladins has better skins at lower prices. Overwatch is a casual players nightmare, and Paladins is a DREAM for casuals like me. You die very quickly in Overwatch, but Paladins is way more forgiving.

I want you to know that the only reason i subscribed was that batman bit Edit after watching: good vid overall but you fail to mention some important comparisons like the champ diversity of each games as this can impact player enjoyment of variety, the system requirements to run the game as paladins is built for lower end compared to ow2, how the game feels and plays like how the guns shoot, how the characters move interact and use their abilities and how game usually play out, and many more.

As you mentioned, Overwatch's new "customization" is really greedy and expensive. Yeah the game is free, but they locked the content that you could unlock with 1-2 years of grinding and maybe 200-300 dollar worth of lootboxes, behind a new 400 year grind and/or 10.000 us dollar paywall. I am literally depressed and slowly stopped playing overwatch because I get no unlocks anymore

paladins is their second biggest money maker, Smite being their golden egg. Infact from their earnings paladins is only second place due to it being their only other actively played game and makes but a small amount compared to smite which is a uncontested king of its genre.

The whole ranked argument is a huge leap imo. Games like league of legends have the exact same thing with the exact safe draft and ban phase. Infact a lot of overwatch content creators and pros want the draft phase as well.

The only bug that ticks me off is my epic taunt for vora. I unlocked, and it went on my wheel of taunts but the actual taunt is locked still. Bug reports do nothing and it just makes me frustrated because paladins is probably my favorite game currently, wish they would decide to fix the dents in this game, I would rather them fix what's there instead of releasing new champions in skins for a time.

I play paladins and put up with all the issues because OW2 erased ALL my progress. Levels, purchases, characters, all that. So I dropped it. First it was the messed up SMS protection that locked me out of my account. Then they erased everything I've earned/purchased. Some stuff I had was even exclusive to OW1 events so now I can't just start over. I love both, but I think everything on my account is a worse bug than any I experienced in paladins

Paladins is the opposite of good vs Evil: The Magistrate want to ban the crystals because they can be used to create dangerous weapons, but are very brutal with there confiscation methodes while the resistance believes that the Crystals make all of there lives a lot better and that the Magistrate is limiting there progress, but they seem to overlook the danger of the crystals. So neither of them is right or wrong or good or evil

adding new characters to paladins doesnt mean anything when your game is overun with bugs and cheaters, not to mention with all the characters its hard to balance the game so some characters feel insane to play and others underwhelming, it feels like the devs a lot of the time dont care about the fan base because even after years of crying about the same issues most of them have been left unresolved.

The reason I play paladins is because I enjoy the characters that doesn't exist in overwatch, which is like almost none of the characters exist in overwatch because the characters are simply not the same but the overwatch community will always nitpick and call that character a rip off because of "one simple ability" and completely ignores the rest of the kit.

I just started playing OW2 not OW1.Its got battlepass now which i'm surprised & i always bought battkepass on Paladins.I've been playing Paladins since beta & yeah i've been playing rank games since beta.OW ranking game is straight forward & i figured out its like unplanned & ya'll just jump in while Paladins in the other hand i found its looks professional in my eyes.I dunno bout yours,simple probably works. Bout textures,hmmm,yeah OW looks polished but i never had a slight comments bout Paladins cuz i really likes the game as it is.Its just concepts that i figured,OW is a hightech period of time & Paladins is just a fairytales fantasy.i've got no doubt about which 1 of the game that people would have chosen but both.I never play OW1 before but i can tell you that i'm going to play both Paladins & OW2 till i'm old cuz i love these pvp games.And yeah,i still play other pvp games not to mention here.I cant say i love Paladins more than OW2 or other pvp games cuz i've been playing Paladins since 2018,its just video games i've enjoyed playing.Well thats all i gotta comments & yeah talents card yeah,i love'em. I just came back to Paladins after OW2 dropped. Loved Paladins but didn’t play it over OW1. However it is much better than OW2. I’ve never played ranked paladins but have been master in OW for a while.

Personally I will always prefer paladins. Just because I can build a champion exactly to my playstyle and I don't have to struggle, I can bend them to my will. Like, the same champion can be played in so many ways and I love it. The skins are fucking amazing, there have been countless of times when I click on Paladins skin and my jaw literally drops. Overwatch skins are cool, but I have never dropped my jaw for an OW skin

I think the problem with Paladins for me is the damage and flanks. They just feel so unfun to go against and while I despise hitscans in overwatch they are nothing compared to paladins dps

I actually think the opposite. Quite possibly, it's just what we are and are not used to. But for one, most ults in OW feel much stronger and frustrating then Paladins because there's a bit less animation wind-up and audio cues. Maybe I am wrong, but it just happens. Junkrat's ult is basically BK, but without the wind-up, the vulnerability (because Bomb King has to actually roll himself into the enemies) and the big ass sounds. Pharah's ult will rain down on your within a secm etc. Asides from the ults, OW2 champs have a lot less range than most champs in Paladins, so playing against Widowmaker or long range champs is not fun if you are not one yourself. And some champs in OW2 can actually one-shot you with normal headshots, which really doesn't happen in Paladins (even if some can get close). I will give it to you that both Paladins' snipers can be insanely annoying, especially with bad teamwork and at low elo. A sniper that can become invisible is some of the dumbest idea I've ever seen for a "fun" competitive fps. And if you play on controller, the auto-aim will make the hitscans possibly disgusting.

Paladins has more fun champions while ow2 has way better maps and game mode plus many more like less bugs and better server. I used to play paladins but it is legit dog sht game. Especially the balance this year has. True, all 99% of the things you mentioned is damn true. Paladins needs better codes, servers while ow2 needs to be less greedy. These alone will make the 2 games better

I play paladins for years now i don’t mind how Harsh people will think or even if feels like you going hard on paladins and both games i really don’t mind the game sneed attetion Paladins Specialy need help but is just never happen i know CC is annoying in Paladins but when comoea to OW2 for me at least i think CC should still a thing even if is harsh as long you habe counters to or a way to manage because OW2 supports are playing”Who wants to be focused “ or dead by daylight as common way to say now so i think CC should still around and Paladins i think gives changes for supports survive in some way on OW2 depeding of the support they just have a bad time and i think the support focusing situation is not a think just happen and the Roadhog spamfest happen i am sure that after OW went free to play a portion of Paladins paladins player hoped in and know everything and how killing support was the way and many mains Makoa ended picking roadhog instaly and brough more chaos towards OW

Played paladins before overwatch was free, after it became free I got hooked on overwatch2 and it’s just a way better game than paladins

Not in every aspect, I think the Champions in Paladins are much more fun to play than the Heroes in Overwatch however Paladins lacks the clean graphics of overwatch and is much more buggy, that being said I play both but currently I enjoy Paladins more but I do fear that Paladins isn't going to last much longer due to Overwatch 2 being more appealing to someone who hasn't played either. For Paladins to stand a chance they need to fix the bugs and clean up the graphics, not to the standard of overwatch graphics but to something that looks a little less cheap.

@@unknownuser4224 the only thing they can do is sell paladins with to a company with higher budget and threats their games better and create a brand new paladins with improved graphics, less bugs etc Bc Hi-rez can make paladins at the levels of ow2 if they invest enough but they don't care, they only care about smite and their dead game rogue

@@venusdied6452 tbh I can't even say it's the fault of evil mojo games as high rez isn't giving them the resources they need to properly fix and develop the game, so selling could be an option if a games company was willing to buy it and improve it to the point where there are no game breaking bugs, new and improved graphics and maybe a bit of balancing to bring some of the weaker champions up to standard and the oppressive ones down a bit or even just reworking them.

Paladins was my favorite game for a hot minute. I fell in love with maeve and her triple jump. Yea TRIPPLE jump! With the right loadout you could legit FLY ACROSS the map it gave her so much utility. I could DOMINIATE drogoz's WITH ease... I fell in love with her, and when the devs at Hi-Rez made the call to aim for cross platforms it changed the game ENTIRELY! They began removing and reducing high mobility characters, and that pretty much killed it for me. I swapped off to characters like evie but nothing came close to my love for the alley cat flying around the map coming from angles that just didn't make sense. Being able to run faster, with reduced fall speed, having pounce, and 3 jumps was INSANE. Go running off the edge of the map 3x jump and pounce made for some INSANE escapes and flanks. But if I'm being honested what TRULY killed the game for me was being third pick in ranked and picking skye (I called flank at the start + IT WAS A COUNTER PICK AND WE DIDNT HAVE A FLANK WE HAD A TANK AND A SUPPORT). Then being told I would be banned if I locked in skye. So I picked skye and got banned from rank for a week. I was like WTF?!?!? Why even let me play character if its bannable offence? I got no explanation I was never told what I actually did wrong. I was done at that point... I got banned without knowing what exactly I did wrong, how do I fix a problem IDK that I have? I sent in multiple emails to Hi-Rez legit just asking for an explanation so that I could LEARN from my mistakes. I got 0 replies and no insight, so I just gave up on the game entirely.

Sad story indeed . The irony is that Skye is s not really a threat once you know how she works . heavy footsteps , a big obvious smoke in which she must hide to regain hp, a bomb that take ages to detonate . No need for illuminate really . Andro, Maeve, VII , Vora , Vatu and some good Evies ... these are the threats

Prefer paladins. Mostly the customisation and fun gameplay. Agree they have a lot to do though. Their currency system sucks. Crashes and bots are the worst. At least allow people to buy proper stuff with that gold. They should have more skin, xp boosters and Kasumi omg, rework needed. matchmaking seems better but I feel better/more servers are needed. If you are buying the battlepass make it worth people's while. It takes forever to get one level. Used to be you could get a lot of crystals back for the next battle pass. Now I don't see that. Way not to reward the loyal hi-res. Ranked can be made worthwhile by offering better rewards as well. Quick Quests are nice but the other grinding is just so boring. Buy tickets to get tasks - yugh.

Either give kasumi a manual targeting system or remove her completely
