That's lovely to hear! I followed Taj last 5 years or so and its amazing just how Talented he is! I truly believe he will become and then be remembered as one of the All-time Greats! He's phenomenal ALREADY! There's not many people who can play Gary Moore like Gary Moore! Not to mention Joe Satriani, Hendrix and SRV.. I greatly appreciated the heartfelt interview you did. Also saw how talented you are as well. You have a gentle spirit, and wonderful encouragement. I think we will be looking back to this interview in 6 to 10 years and realize how epic and legendary interview(s) these were. I believe Taj is a rare find and as long as he and his family stay focused and cool headed, and continue to have the realizations that you never stop growing and learning. This interview reminded me of the interview where SRV was jamming with Albert King and Albert took the time to say some similar things you said to Taj. One thing albert said to SRV was that there is not a time to sit on your laurels and say you have arrived, but to always keep learning. Hey, Dave! That’s a fantastic question. I typically set my stage volume with my clean & dirty rhythm sound. My boost is above and beyond that. I let the sound guy know what my boost sounds like and ask him if that’s too “boosty”… generally speaking, whoever is running audio production, appreciates that sort of consideration. I then make bold promises about not getting any louder after that… 😄
