There are creatures like Archaeopteryx that they arent completely sure whether to classify it as a dinosaur or a bird because it is somewhere in between and is an example of dinosaurs evolving to become what we now know as birds

I think Dragons represent mankind’s earliest fears while they were transitioning between tree-dwelling and ground-dwelling.
