I am from India and a Muslim. I have also lived in an Arab country (Iraq) as a child and over the years have visited many Arab countries. I do understand that there have been some issues related to religion and politics at some points in time, in India, but I would imagine this is not unlike any other society in the world, where people from different races and religion live. I would rate India as a great country to live in. People are welcoming and benevolent. I personally have led a relatively peaceful life ( I am above 45 years of age, been in India all along except a few years abroad). My experience living in major Indian cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Pune etc) has been that people are progressive and in general kind hearted. I must also point out, based on my personal experience, that life as a Muslim from South Asia in any Arab country is not all that hunky dory. One might find same racial issues (if not more) than one finds sometime in developed European countries. I had mixed personal experience living in Iraq as a child - sometimes people were hostile just for the fact that we were from India! On other instances, we also found that many people, when they came to know that we were from India, went out of their way to help by paying all our bills for meals etc. So it is a mixed bag, we cannot and should not generalize.

I have traveled and lived in India for a period of time and Arab countries generally are cleaner and more hygienic and better and wealthier and have better standards of living and food and dress and etc compared to Indians in general. The country is made up of 28 states. Indian communities are some of the largest diasporas in the world. As an Arab, born in Kuwait in 88' before the start of the first Gulf war and lost a father during the gulf war, i grew up in the US and when i came back to Kuwait in the early 2000 i grew up around family and friends who looked down on anyone who isn't Muslim, Kuwaiti, Wealthy, from a certain background or family, so you can only imagine what their views on everyone else (expats and migrants) would have been like, and how they treated minorities. Arabs, Muslims in particular, in general dont view East Asian cultures and peoples very favorably, they see a lot of Asian cultures and religions stemming from idol worship and savagery. This is the problem with Arabs, Muslims in particular, the hijacking of a part of the world that at one point valued progressive ideas and cultures and replaced it with a Muslims superiority complex and an Arab one that is spurred on only by fossil fuel dependency and the wealth, social and political ties is brought. Extremists, exist everywhere, in india a lot of people outside of india would learn about the cast system, how women are treated, and the mob mentality that has influenced all aspects of Indian political and social culture. There is a lot of negativity to absorb, try not to fixate on what the default narrative is, because chances are it was created by design to grab your attention. Ive been living in the UAE since 2014 and my perception of India and east Asian religions and cultures have changed significantly, i see the value of a inclusive multicultural socially aware society, and that is a step in the right direction. i hope humanity learns to spot and stamp out extremism everywhere, even Zionism, a state institutionalized form of extremism, has no place in this world. In fact, Indian food, films and music is hugely popular in Egypt, Iran and the gulf. People don’t think or talk much about the politics of India bc India is never interfering in the Middle East or the Muslim world, unlike others.

I don't deny that Muslims haven't faced any difficulties but it's the selective news reporting in the Arab world of isolated incidents that made some Palestinians believe it.
