PAINTING STEP-BY-STEP
1) Start with the outline of the bird and the bark of the tree
2) Beginners please mark all details of the bird
3) Start with the background - use sap green - with black and white
4) Use palette knife to create textures in the background
5) Start with bird - cerulean blue + white + black. I am using only one palette knife for the entire painting. Use short strokes to show the feathers.
6) Ensure that the feathers are placed in correct directions to add more realism
7) For the body of the bird use - yellow + white
8) Keep the strokes always small and short to show the feather of the bird
9) For the tail - Use blue for the upper part and blue + black + white for the lower part
10) For the the legs use black + blue + little white
11) Bark of the tree - use burnt umber + white - drag the paint along the bark of the tree
12) Add leaves randomly on the bark of the tree - use sap green + yellow
13) Finally add flowers with vivid pink (or you could create your own pink mixing red and white) and white.
