I feel like Jel is too obvious serial killers are typically very personable and not exactly screaming hey i could be a killer. My theory is Reth didnt pull his sister out of the city because of just an illness but because he found out her killer past. She is the last person you would suspect.

I think Jel is a vampire. But if we're saying the large incisors are proof, then you'll have to add all of the Palians since they all have large incisors. I never thought of him as a possible serial killer. But pretty emo, lol. I agree, his dress, antiquated speech, romanticizing death and patrolling at night kinda screams vamp. The Gumbo was very easy when I considered it's a seafood Gumbo. Just think who really, really loves seafood?

I myself am currently romancing ALL of the availably NPC's in Palia =) and at max levels too. You missed Jel's fascination with animals teeth and the night creatures ;P

Jel doesn't come out during the day at all, he returns to his shop at dawn.

Also, I just noticed watching Kenyatta's Romance level 4 quest, after the stakeout she says she saw a shadow and tells you to go look for clues, the only suspect around the mansion at this time is Jel! He literally passes through.

Not to defend my first lover, Jel despite I'm in relationships with all romanceable NPC... He does give out some suspicious aura...Especially when you're flirting with him. Also, if you're romancing him, you'll learn that he got some family issue especially with his sisters and trying to proof his worthy to his mother. And in fact, he's actually quite open minded to allow me to flirt with Tish too. About him being a vampire, I couldn't agree more...Same with Tamala...who might be a witch or even a vampire herself. However, what if, the "killer" is Kenyatta since she's been talking about at least 2 killers as if like she's challenging us to catch her. Being a rebellious, it's no doubt that she will do something that will make her parents hurt, like every time we talk to her...she just want to mess around with her mum, Eshe.

Well Jel did give me Sweeney Todd vibes when I first saw him in the cinematic trailer.

When you just got a dialogue with Tish saying that she thinks Jel is into Reth and she's trying to get them together, and then you see this video... Like, no girl, you're pushing your brother into a trap.

Personally, i really dont think any of the villagers are the killer, none of them really give any actual red flags and i feel like if any of them were intended to be revealed as a murderer later on, thered be some pretty clear signs put in place ahead of time. Im talking like...suspicious red splotches on their clothes or a knife in their bedroom where a knife shouldnt be- very clear clues that cant be explained away. I think tish is genuinely just a very kind and upbeat person and i think jel is just awkward, antisocial, and has an interest in death because hes a tortured artist. I think the only characters that are likely to have ever killed someone is Ashura and Tamala, but like...not in a serial killer way. If the game ever actually goes anywhere with the ripper plotline, i dont think itll be any of the characters we already know. Im not opposed to jel being a vampire though, itd be funny and kind of cute. But i doubt hed be a violent vampire, he seems like the type to faint at the sight of blood Edit: id also like to point out that bahari city is implied to be quite big and bustling and wealthy, not to mention its implied to be a decent ways away. So it seems pretty impossible for anyone in kilima to be able to frequently travel there to murder noblewomen and come back without anyone ever noticing. fun theory though!

It's crazy bc I never thought Jel gave sinister vibes, but I showed my brother (who doesn't play Palia) the dialogue where Jel talked about drowning.. & his 1st impression was "that guy looks like the type to say something morbid like that." So ig it's true lol

He never sleeps though which is crazy. Even the robots sleep.

Y'all pc players need to look at the graphics on switch 😂 I can't believe how much detail there is in jels shop! my pc wouldn't run Palia, would just reboot it on the load screen before "press any button" even showed up. So I got a switch (not solely for palia... 😬... Promise)... But the graphics are so low on switch 🥲 and also hunting is so glitchy. The magical creatures arent the only ones that vanish 😅 they glitch out 😂
