Careful guys working with formic acid guys! Under certain conditions (strongly acidic I believe) formic acid can decompose into CARBON MONOXIDE gas. This is something I never knew about and was never warned about when I first started working with formic acid, so just wanted anyone who is considering doing this process to know this and stay safe :) Happy experimenting!

For all I know, formic acid is already toxic by itself.

Basically all the paths do to similar things like this and with gold create real bad gasses.... NOX with nitric, Chlorine with bleach, hcl, or others, SOX with sulfur, and so on. Suggest 3m full face mask with organic vapor/acid gas cartridges. Nox gas cannot be stopped very effectively either (apparently) with anything but a firefighting suit with supplied air. Lol.

приветствую, какие тигли применяете ? у меня графитовые , так они после двух трёх плавок выгорают, есть непонятные но похожие на оксид алюминия(алунд) они вобще лопаються от неравномерного нагрева , наверное только для муфельных печей

If the solution I get is not DMG but SnCl2, can I get palladium. what other metals precipitate? Does iron sulphate work?

Congratulations for the good video, a suggestion, neutralize without precipitating the palladium hydroxide and then reduce with sodium formate solution.

What performance in Pd and Ag did you obtain from the MLCC treatment.

Hola.. en una solucion de acido nitrico que contiene Cobre.. Plata y un apequeña porcion de Paladio, este metodo es efectivo?.. cuando le agrego hidroxido de potasio puede suseder que se precipite el cobre y la plata?.. que metodo me recomendaria para este caso... precipitar la plara primero como cloruro de plata y luego el paladio con este metodo? Muchas gracias

Piece of metal? None of the above, Formic acid precipitates metals from their solutions. From AR Pd Pt Au, from HNO3 Ag Pd Pt
