'Pallywood:' No, this hospital patient is not a 'paid actor' faking injuries in Gaza • FRANCE 24

Many pro-Israel accounts - and even the official State of Israel account - claim they've spotted staged Palestinian "actors" faking suffering in the Gaza Strip, calling this "Pallywood". They point to one in particular, accusing a Gazan "on the ground" account of showing a local influencer posing as critically ill, before being seen in the street brandishing a gun or pretending to have lost his son. But these images are old and misrepresented out of context. Vedika Bahl explains in this edition of Truth or Fake.

The hospital patient is from long before. He's a different known person who had his leg amputated and subsequently recovered. Obviously didn't recover his limbs though. Why dehumanize Palestinians when their suffering is clearly real. There's no need to stage. Just documenting what's happening is horrific enough.

Reality check for palestine and Hamas sympathisers 1. Israel became a state in 1312 B.C.E., two millennia before Islam. 2. Arab refugees from Israel began calling themselves "Palestinians" in 1967, two decades after (modern) Israeli statehood in 1948. 3. After conquering the land in 1272 B.C.E., Jews ruled it for a thousand years and maintained a continuous presence there for 3,300 years. 4. The only Arab rule following conquest in 633 B.C.E. lasted just 22 years. 5. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem was the Jewish capital. It was never the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even under Jordanian rule,(East) Jerusalem was not made the capital, and no Arab leader came to visit it. 6. Palestinians never assimilated because, unlike the 100 million other refugees across the globe and throughout the history of the universe, Palestinians are the only refugees who are entitled to pass their refugee status down to their descendants. UN created UNRWA for this purpose and because of UNRWA they and their leaders believe it’s somehow someone else’s responsibility to take care of the Palestinians and their ever growing offspring forever, or else.

There is indeed a man who appears in at least a dozen fotos and videos. Of course not everybody is an actor, but there is indeed a lot of PR. Especially if a doctor does not know how to wear a stethoscope, symptoms don't add up, the injuries wandering over the whole body.Others are made byAİ. E.g. dozens of orphans in a foto, that might be realistic - but zooming in İ realised, that their faces are not even human. Or a mom cooking in a tent - the pot hovering over the wet floor, no fire beneath. And things like this. The longer the war lasts, the more fake and the less real fotos I see from Gaza's side.
