Awesome review Matt, so much so that I just ordered the GTR Mini for my wife, in pink of course. Myself, I've been using the GTR 4 now for over a year and its been excellent. It's the 14 day battery life which seals the deal for me and even after a year of solid usage the battery is still as good as the day I unboxed it. The GTR Mini seems to be just like the GTR 4 so I think the GTR Mini is great value for the price in a slim body. Once you get familar with the Zepp App and all its functions it works very well. All the info the average person would ever require and then some. I've also purchased the Amazfit Smart Scale which intergrates well within the Zepp app working in conjunction with the watch. Worth considering if your serious about your health and weight loss. Maybe you could consider reviewing the Smart Scale. Keep up the great reviews.

Thanks for the kind comments and suggestion on the scale. I’m not using the Amazfit Balance watch and it’s awesome. The Zepp app is very powerful and a bit intimidating, but just find one you figure out want you need from it. Take care and enjoy the watches.

Awesome review thank you @palmsolo. Have a question that might not be easy to answer. If the 'always on' feature is enabled, any idea approx how much this reduces charge life? From average 14 days down to...?

In my experiences with this, and many other watches, toggling on the "always on" feature typically reduces battery life down 40-50%.

Thank you for the review. Didn't see the SpO2 sensor data on Zepp. Does it track it? 24/7? Incremental time slots? Thinking of buy it for someone that's getting over COVID lungs.

Yes, the GTR Mini has support for blood oxygen (SpO2), HR, and stress. You can setup the frequency in the Zepp smartphone app.

Hello. Is it a bad idea to wear this watch as a man with a thin wrist? I find the big hours very rude. Is there an automatic screen brightness feature?

Thanks for the review. What I want to know is: the gps, if I don't use the gps on a daily base , and I go for a run or a bicycle tour, does the gps work during the workout or do I have to switch it on?

When you launch an outdoor workout, such as a run or bike ride, the launch screen for that workout will show you the GPS connection status and the button on the display to start the activity will turn green once the signal is established. There is a setting to turn it on like this automatically and by default that setting is enabled. Bottom line, start the workout and then tap the green go button to track that activity with GPS.

Yes, interval training is supported. Launch the Outdoor Running workout and then tap on Settings. Swipe down to Training and then tap on Interval Training. There is a small gear icon so that you can your desired intervals. Thanks for the kind comment.

No, there is no setting to manage the brightness for the AOD. You can set the standard brightness of the watch face to auto or manually adjust it if you want, but there are no controls for AOD.

You mention lots of watch faces. A couple years ago I used an Amazfit Bip but most of the digital faces were in a 24 hr format. Do you find a significant number of watch faces that have an am/pm setting? That is a make or break issue for me.

There looks to be several watch faces that show AM/PM. You can also go into the settings on the watch itself, not in the smartphone app, and change the way that time shows up as either 12 hour (AM/PM) or 24 hour so you should be able to adjust it there on the Bip too.

You can toggle on the always-on display in the settings. You can change the watch face for this too, but it appears in a reduced brightness state. You can enable rotating your wrist to turn it on too, if you desire.

It attaches to a small round puck that has a USB-A end. Two pins on the puck contact the metal spots on the back of the watch to charge it up.

It advertises wireless charging, but this means sitting on the proprietary wireless charger where you do not plug a cable into any open port on the watch. It does not charge wirelessly on a standard Qi charger though.

Sorry, I don't know the rating for the brightness. You can slide the brightness control bar all of the way up and it is very bright though.

There is no support for music stored on the watch or even controlling the playback of music on your phone.

Most powerful in Smart Watch and attractive is watch faces and when I see your review watch face I almost going cancel and change mind about watch but later realize it's has awesome Watch face with information it's just you choose most simple boring one sorry 😅

The main advantages of smartwatches are that they have a screen which means that you can change the watch face to whichever the ones you like because it's not physical.

Overall, it matched the GPS fairly well, getting the distance to within a tenth of a mile or less when compared to Garmin and Apple. It seemed to cut off some corners at times, but it should be just fine for most people who are not training competitively.
