Here’s how I created the most POWERFUL Depresso the world has ever seen.

He was doing so little to Zoe and Grizzbolt in that first test because level is actually calculated into pal damage, so any pal under level 10 does very little to Zoe and Grizzbolt

Basically there is a level difference mechanic. Equal level means no modifier, while level difference means the pal with higher level deals more damage while the one with lower deals less. That's why level 1 Zach can barely scratch Grizzbolt-Zoe (level 10), but level 50 Zach absolutely annihilates them.

The reason why Zach lost against Zoe and Grizzbolt was because there’s a level multiplier or smth. But without that you definitely had the stats to do it.

Zack is more like the perfect grave shift employee. Anyone who works overnights, gets crapped on by morning shift because the manager doesn't show up till grave is gone and cant stand up for themselves by the relentless barage of morning shifts "he didn't do this" and he forgot to do that" when in reality he spent most of the night cleaning up after morning and day shift not doing their job. Grave shift is the true depresso. Here's to Zack the unsung hero 🍻

The problem you had was a level differential. At level 10 he would be in better range of the boss and would do more adequate level damage. Bosses are lv 10>20>30 etc.

Level comparison is a very substantial part of the damage calculation.

This Game was so fun. i played it for atleast 200Hours, i finished lvl 50 many times. and breed many perfect pets. great time. i cannot help but find it boring now. i wish if i didn't know it and start that experience again. whoever hasn't played this game. GO. Buy it NOW!

Missed out on breeding the Skill Dark Whisp (160) into him as well as making sure he had max attack ivs. Tho I will admit doing those two things is a huge time sink. On a different note you have a nice sounding voice you should really pump out the videos of all sorts, tho this is at the tail end of the palworld content hype so dunno if that will work.

Ye I didn't want to glitch the game too much though (I think you can only get it off victors shadowbeak), and I really don't like the concept of IVs tbh. Though, I've been thinking about working on them if I make more vids like this. Haha appreciate the compliment on the voice. I want to pump out a bunch of videos, as it's a game I really like so I don't mind that the hype is dying down. Survival is one of my favorite genres too so I wouldn't mind sticking to it for a while.

Poison blast might better than nightmare ball for Zach since he is not rideable, poison also stacks passive dmg with spirit flame's burn. Dark Whisp is also better than Dark laser for the one big move he can use, since it doesn't have dmg reduction that other multihit moves have, just slow, but I don't think it's possible to get it after the latest patches.

When a pal is of a lower level then it's target, it gets debuffs on attack power.

If you breed Necromus with Victor's shadowbeak, you would get a Chikipi with legend, lord of the underworld and the Dark Whisp skill. Then it's easy to get to Depresso. Only 2 breeding steps versus 7.

So yes this is true, but A I've never caught them, and B it's been patched. And despite them saying they "accidentally patched it", I'm not sure they'll actually bring it back.

Level gap also gets factored in the amount of damage your pal can deal to certain enemies, with the equal level or higher player-pal having no penalties. Bosses also take like 90% less damage IIRC.

You should make a video making the best zoe and grizbolt if you dont know how to capture them attack a guard at the small settlement and then use a fast travel point to get to the tower and start the boss fight then wait until the gaurds shoot zoe and grizbolt and they should walk away then throw a pal ball and capture them it'll say 0% but itll be 100% then you have a zoe and grizbolt

Fun Fact: Levels count towards damage, meaning with a higher attack stat than a higher level enemy, the enemy with a higher level will still deal more damage.

Question: Isn't Lucky a better passive than a +20% boost to a single element since you can teach a pal all the fruit skills making it able to have 3 skills of each element with a +15% damage boost instead of +20% to only dark?

Just speaking purely from a mathematics standpoint, the +20% damage for dark moves is applied after the attack stat is calculated, so it would edge out lucky in terms of damage. However, it really just depends on what you want out of the pal. If you wanted to make one that is a little weaker but well rounded, lucky would probably be the move.

Also I feel everyone overlooks the 2-3 sec cool down skills just cause they are weak, when you can get 10-15 attacks in while waiting for a 30 sec cool down skill... with your pal just sitting there doing literally nothing.

Well 'forgot', more like chose not to. It's a glitch to get Victor and Shadowbeak, so I never wanted to catch them. Besides it's been patched now, so I can't even if I wanted to.

ur happy u got the 4 passive combo once? Been getting alot lately but im selling them all cause of their low/average IV stats :D im making a reddit post soon after I am done, my goal is for every pal in my party to have 28%+ attack and 25+% hp or deffense (both is gona take infinitely longer and my sanity is almost out :D) So far I only have 2 more pals for my party and I will be complete, but the breeding I ahd to do for each average was 200-300 :D

Depressos can get Implode? Do they get Megaton Implode? That combined with their expresso ability makes their explosion unavoidable. I can't imagine very many being able to outrun a cracked out Depresso ready to end it all in their face. :P Not sure if they are the best exploder though. I imagine a high attack Normal type would be better in that department.

So since it seems no one has mentioned, Pal does significantly less damage on a target higher lvl than they are. Hence why Zach was doing nothing on Zoe/Grizz.

It's possible, but I initially chose not to do it because it's a glitch to catch the bosses, and I never really wanted to catch them in the first place. Though, now that it's been patched, I may never get the chance

Hmmm it's really up to personal preference since there's thing like resources, and environment to take into account. I like flat areas just so you can easily build floors and then stack up. My current base is at 75, -372. I just enjoy the landscape and there's a nice little place to nestle a good base.

@@DaCodesta about 25% (before modifiers) it’s basically an extra trait You may already have good IV tbh only way to know is to check The ABSOLUTE max is 30% but that’s basically impossible

i bread him down from paladius, for celestial emperor and palblast, then the depresso + killamari = tocotoco with those stats, that you can breed back into depresso or gorirat with megaton implode, legendary, celestial emperor... why on a depresso? you get 20% neutral dmg from celestial emperor AND hoocrates increases the dmg coming from dark pals... meaning if depresso does palblast or megaton implode they will profit from both buffs, because he is a dark type pal doing a neutral attack... also... because of his partnerskill... you let him have only those 2 attacks palblast and megaton... whenever he starts megaton and your enemy is not fly mounted you activate his coffeinrush.... he will STICK to anyone that is not flymounted yet, there is NO running from this dude... with a very fast ground mount you have a chance of running... if you trade ferocious for swift there is no escape but the air, he is literally porting to your 4ss, so much movespeed, if you have to mount your flymount when he starts megaton, are not yet mounted, you will lose minimum 50% HP. he is usain bolt + allahuakbar LMAO... this is gonna be quite ridiculous in pvp i think... why am i even telling people :D

Highest damage possible isn't by using a lord trait it's using a +15% to attack like sadist, lucky or holigan because of how the attack buff of food works. You end up dealing more if you are using a food but without a food buff lord of darkness would be stronger.

Really? Since the Dark damage buff is applied after the attack stat is calculated, I figured that mathematically it would do a bit more.

@@DaCodesta It's easy to explain there are 2 foods that give an attack buff moozarina burger and that elk stew thing what happens is, if you got a pal with 100 attack and you buff it with double 20% buffs from burger and stew. It goes to 120 from burger then to 144 from stew remember this number. If you got sadist your attack would be 115 with burger it goes to 138 with the stew it goes to 165.6 effectively the sadist attack buff was acting like a 21.6% buff even though it says it's 15%. The problem with lord is it's 20% on the base value and your base is 100 so it's the 144 is treated like a 164 while your sadist damage buff gets buffed by the food. If you have musclehead, legend and ferocious it would turn out even worse for lord. People don't use damage food all the time and if they didnt they wouldn't use 2 but they do however try to equip 4 damage supporting pals and try to get legend, musclehead and ferocious so it will turn out that holigan, lucky or sadist will be better than lord skills .

I mean, your math aside for a second, food doesn't stack. I just tested it to be sure. Eikthydeer Loco Moco + Mozzarina Cheeseburger = only 20% still.

The ultimate is by transferring Shadowbeak Tower boss and Shadowbeak normal's special attacks OVER to him so you can get the two most broken dark abilities in the game. That's how I did an ultimate Frost Noct. This guy isn't his ultimate version, sorry.

@@DaCodesta I personally made a proposal to them to make the bosses just have a chance to drop their skill fruits to give players a reason to grind them other than experience and get rid of a need to catch them since their skills are the main reason a lot of people want them. They haven't responded obviously.

It's a mod I use for my "Palworld Pals Explained" shorts. Helps speed the process up of making them tremendously. Otherwise I'm not sure I could do 1 a day without straight NO LIFING the gaming.
