I’ve recently been lucky enough to get sent some fabulous Dermarollers from Gin Amber Beauty. These dermarollers are far superior quality to my usual dermarollers that I buy from Amazon. If you are a regular to my channel you will know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dermarolling! The procedure has done so much for my skin. My acne scarring is significantly reduced, my skin texture is fabulous, and I can tell that my skin has had a boost of collagen and elastin because it's a lot plumper and perkier than 3 months ago. In such a short space of time I've noticed such a huge difference!
So now I'd like to share how to do dermarolling with you. It's really simple, but please don't just skip to the treatment. There's a lot of important information that you need to know in order to carry out the treatment safely in your own home.

This dermaroller thing scares me *so* much 😱 If I pull one hair off or squeeze anything in face it swells up like a mosquito has bit me or something 😬 But I am also sooo curious to know someone next to me that does it, so I can see it with my own eyes, touch the skin, the needles(?) in the dermaroller... 😀

Pro tip. Apply the serums directly to your skin instead of rubbing it into your hands first. Also press it into the skin rather than rubbing. 10 years as a licensed skin care provider. Great use of the roller. This has been a game changer in the routine of my clients.

Thank you for this video! I learned so much! As a licensed cosmetologist, I have an anti-aging recommendation for you...when applying serums, moisturizers, creams etc; make sure you're using upward motion. It helps the elasticity of your skin because you're not pulling it against gravity. Especially your neck, always go up with your hands, instead of down.

Just dermarolled my lower face for the 1st time using a .50 needle. Very glad I bought a jar of numbing cream at the same time even though I have seen people use a .50 needle without it. I am very red with no bleeding. Feels like a sunburn. Followed directions to clean face & sterilize roller before starting. And, sterilized afterwards too. I will wait a week before doing it again. Afterwards, I put on an aloe mask, turned on the ceiling fan to low, told Alex to play meditation music for 20 minutes then reclined and chilled thinking about all the good stuff happening in my skin. (I am 68 yo, white, who is losing collagen like water over Niagara Falls.)

I have started Derma Rollering and did research before hand. I have good knowledge or biology, bacteriology and surgical procedures after being an oral surgery auxiliary and have found your video the most informative for people who need to be aware of roller cleaning in what may "seem" to be a fad. The thing is, it does WORK. I would suggest though that sterilisation of the rollers is paramount and true sterilisation, as opposed to disinfection, is virtually impossible at home. Using baby bottle sterilising solution is not the best option as it can oxidise the needles on less expensive rollers (little specks on the needles). White spirit alcohol dehydrates blood products on the roller and causes speckles that cling too. The best way to cleanse rollers is possibly to boil them for a number of minutes, place in a brand new food storage bag once thoroughly dry. Inspect a roller before use every time and if it doesn't look like new, don't use it. Thank you for the most informative video on the net about Derma Rollering X

I've seen research out of Europe that says to wash in soapy water after using and then soak in 70% alcohol (not higher, not lower) for 10 minutes before storing. Then you soak again for 10 minutes in 70% alcohol before using the next time.
@clairehargreaves9744

kcharbs yeah thats what ive read and on most of the sites ive googled to gather info.. bt ive only read once that just disinfect etc, but that alone cnt disolves the proteins n blood etc which can cause massive infections :/ wash liquid in a plastic container n swish it around without banging it on the sides which cn damage the needles n i u cn swish it min or so just to get those prticles away n then i tend to spray the alcohol stuff over the head n seal in plastic case it came in, and the ten min later i just loosen so theres no moisture trapped in it.. then ill just spray again prior to using, and i tend to make sure there no harsh alcohol disinfctant left and use the boiled kettle water just to rinse off the head before it touches my skin.. bt thought it was common sense with the proteins on skin that cnt be dissolved without hot soapy water .
@SinaMuscarina
@SinaMuscarina 5 жыл бұрын
@@clairehargreaves9744 I read about washing with warm water. Boiling can damage needles, because of the plastic that holds it together. I would use 70% rubbing alcohol and wash with soap before.

Marissa Aiello her video has also been edited to smooth out the skin, as us common among beauty bloggers. If you look carefully at the forehead and the corners of the mouth, it becomes obvious. I know this is pretty much standard for beauty videos, but it’s deceptive and creates unrealistic expectations for us in real life.

This video has been a revelation. I have never considered abrasion before, but I find your videos make so much sense and this one is so thorough and I am going to try it. I will probably watch this again before I do, but I had to just thank you so much for taking the time to carefully lay out the facts, and show the procedure.

This was SUCH A GREAT VIDEO! I just got a derma roller set and it came with a few different sized rollers all in 0.3 and there is one for under the eyes that is 0.25. I also get freaked out by the thought of doing my under eye area so I’ll also be avoiding that area altogether! I may use it over my lips because I heard you can roll the lips out as well. I have a bunch of serums and direct acids from the ordinary including the two you mentioned here so now I feel 100% prepared to start getting my roll on!! Thanks again for the amazing video!!

I actually tried this doing it with you on the video. I LOVE IT. The video made it so easy to understand and made me fell good doing it at home. I have a question because I am thinking I may be using too much stuff AFTER the procedure. I use The Ordinary - again thanks to your amazing videos - and after doing the dermaroolling, I put on the caffeine 5%, then the buffet mixed with the marine hyaloronic and then the rosehip 110% cold pressed oil. I do not put anything else on, but I am thinking maybe I should not be using the rose hip oil and just the other 3 products. Thanks for any advice. For the first time in 50 years my skin actually looks really nice.

Heather Foss I ordered a derma older and wished I had just ordered the derma pen. I’ve seems rolled twice with a .25 needle size. I did see the results. Not so much on my smile lines. So I’m excited to try the derma pen. I haven’t received it but it’s on the way. Good luck!

This is SO helpful , thanks for putting this out there .There are so many videos out there about micro-needling which either tell you not to do it at home ( usually from professionals such as aestheticians or dermatologists ) or don't give you enough information to do it safely .
