Elk! I grew up on elk and it’s my favourite meat. When I got married I couldn’t figure out why everything tasted funny. Because I had never really eaten beef. My Dad was an avid hunter and I have eaten everything fro mountain sheep ( which is so very tender) to bear (which I hate unlesss it’s cook with pork) that and all the rainbow trout you could stuff down. But elk is my favourite! I’m so jealous. I was raised in Alberta about 30 minutes from the Rocky Mountains where game was plentiful. It’s been 20 years since my Dad passed away, killed by a lightning strike while on a trail ride. It killed him and his horse instantly. But when he passed so did my access to game as my husband only hunted to spend time with my Dad😭😭😭
