I like those elbow stabs at the end. Those are basic fundamental moves in Bajiquan kung fu. Once you start learning all the arts, you begin to realize they are all fundamentally the same. They just have slight differences in the way the person may move.

Hey Joe great video, I don't know if you remember me but we met in Columbia at Dr. Bob's class. Where do you teach now?

I like these techniques and practice them, but I find "destruction" be kind of a grandiose term for simply knuckling the forearm or biceps. It's a good hit, but let's not fool ourselves. It doesn't "destroy" anything, unless we're using a blade. I do appreciate how you catalog so many of Guru Dan's variations.

4 years late, but Panatukan normally also have you using smaller type of edge like object letter opener, piece of glass, knuckle knife, cutter, etc. or anything you can grab small enough in the street, or sneakily use it when you maim somebody in a fist fight. Its why its called a Dirty Boxing.

Hi. Thanks for cool and instructive video. Question (not trolling): if you're already on the inside and could go for a more vital target, ie neck, head, or, say, clavicle, why would you immobilize the bicep? Bicep seems like a secondary target. I've never trained FMA so info much appreciated. Again, have enjoyed these videos. thanks.

+tomatagung Hi, I'm not an expert but a practitioner. I think it connects to the concept of defanging the snake. You don't want to kill your opponent just disable his destructive essence. Something like that.

tomatagung, you might not be close enough to strike the face or body, so you might hit the arm instead. Then, as you close distance, you move on to head and body targets. It's also training for the blade, where you slash or stab the biceps, disabling the attacker's weapon arm.

tomatagung For the same reason most of these systems teach a billion disarms instead of ONLY serious stick/blade strikes after parry/counter

tomatagung Its an entry technique so you can close the distance at the same time serve as a distraction cause a punch to the face from a stance will be easy to dodge, parry or block.

Theres a lot of talking than demonstration. Watch Dan inosanto's video or Master Wong, You'll a lot from there.

talking gives u the theory behind the movements, which I think is more important than just demo
