Hey, I recommend changing the HDMI Resolution from 1080i to 1080p. This stops the wavy lines when the camera moves. Hope this improves your future experiences. Great video. Thanks.

Hello, what type of cable did you use to connect it to the switch? When reading the specifications I saw that it has HDMI type C output, did you convert Type C cable to HDMI, or does it have mini HDMI output? or Micro HDMI, is my question, thanks for the answer in advance.
@ButchNews
@ButchNews Жыл бұрын
The HDMI cable OUT of the camera is a MINI HDMI (type C HDMI). The camera has both USB and Mini HDMI connectors. You may use the HDMI out while using the USB cable as a power supply cable. I avoid that so as not to confuse the OBS program and I have all my computer inputs come through HDMI. To connect an HDMI cable to the computer "in" you will require a converter such as the ELGATO (www.elgato.com/en) or a switcher such as the RGBLINK (HDMI TO USB CONVERTER). The camcorder has both USB and HDMI connectors. You may use the USB input/output as a power source, if you wish, but I use the power supply for power, so my OSB (Open Broadcast Studio program) does not confuse which output I want. OSB will discover EVERYTHING connected to your computer and try to control it. That type C name is not to be confused with the brand new European Union order to Apple Computers that they MUST have a universal power cable if they want to keep selling stuff in Europe... thus the new TYPE C (universal) power cable... you CAN'T plug that cable in the wrong way... nor the NEW USB UNIVERSAL adapters which, also, CAN'T be plugged in the wrong way... both ways will work. If you haven't seen one of the NEW USB universal connectors they will start showing up a lot more in the coming year. The RGBLINK switcher I use has HDMI inputs and USB output... to the computer.

Hey thanks for the video, I just bought one of these cameras off Amazon...not sure what to think of it so far, but i bought it primarily for the zoom feature to have that feature to add to my KZfaq video. Are you still happy with this little camcorder? Thanks!
@ButchNews
@ButchNews 2 жыл бұрын
Yup... very nice image. I use it now as my face to face camera because it's really nice. I may find use for the zoom but I now have five live cameras on when I record... my Nex 7 with data on the image, one Q2n, one Q2n4k, the Panasonic, and my brand new MOKOSE HDMI/USB cam. Just got that one and tested it the past few days. Cute little thing. I see you have a nice channel. Here is a tip: The google algorithm will love you to death and really boost you in the search if you add closed captions to your videos. A lot of work but you can publish the Auto version then take time to edit the language later. The algorithm just loves, loves, loves closed captions now.

You don't say which cable you connect it with your computer? The hdmi out maybe? Nice great, cool guy!!
@ButchNews
@ButchNews Жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. You can't plug HDMI directly into most home computers. Most want clean HDMI on their TV screen... you can plug the camera into your digital TV (go into the TV menu to select input). Your TV has the HDMI in. Otherwise you need a converter for your computer. You won't be able to use the camcorder for live recording by way of the USB. It can play back from the camcorder memory card but can't handle the signal fast enough to record... why there is an HDMI out port. Unfortunately you computer doesn't have HDMI in, only out. Elgato is the best known converter. I use an RGBLink switcher. You can buy manual HDMI switchers but you won't be able to preview what is coming up as you switch and they are HDMI to HDMI. I use a small manual HDMI switcher on one of the inputs of the RGBLink switcher to give me more sources to select. I made the video to tell people how to get rid of the information on the screen when outputting HDMI. I use a switcher which converts HDMI to USB to my computer so I can use four different cameras with one input to the computer by way of the switcher. The camera may also be powered by way of the USB cable while using the HDMI but I use the power supply. I have so many USB ports the OBS (Open Broadcast Studio) software can get confused as to where I want the video to come from. OBS is a TV studio on your desktop (FREEWARE supported by all the major video platforms). I avoid using the USB ports on the cameras for power supplies even though one can do that. So... what is HDMI????... it is more bits per second than USB and can handle a longer cable. You won't have an HDMI input on your home computer. You need a converter. Hope that all made sense. So... didn't think of everything I should have covered... video on the fly can be like that. No second take. If you use OBS you may use multiple USB out cameras on one screen. I have four HDMI video inputs and two USB video inputs. Sometimes I use a small HDMI switcher and have that out put go into my main switcher so I can have up to seven HDMI inputs by way of a single switcher into my computer. The computer will see only one HDMI at a time plus my two USB cameras... I put three cameras on screen at the same time.

@@ButchNews Thank you for taking the time and replying, appreciate it very much. It's great that you're there! just to sum up, so to connect my camcorder (panasonic hc-v180) to OBS program, i need a converter, and it is called Elgato, because the PC has no HDMI input but only output.
@ButchNews
@ButchNews Жыл бұрын
@@ferhatportakal8360 That is correct. Gamers really seem to like HDMI out so the webcam video can keep up with the game in real time. In spite of everything, there will almost always be some sound LATENCY... delay in the sound (it takes longer to process... go figure). OBS has individual sound LATENCY adjustment for every ACTIVE sound channel (it will detect them) By default all sound is OFF until you turn it on... each source (under the properties link for each video or sound source). You'll figure it out. I suggest 180 milliseconds. OBS is very flexible and you may change all the default settings, re-arrange the board etc. i.e. you can fine tune the studio board to your likes and set all kinds of HOT KEYS if you like that kind of control. The Panasonic may not yet be on the "supported" list for Elgato converters but it should work. Most all Panasonic/Lumix cameras will have a clean HDMI out available... you may have to go into the menu to clear the stuff around the edges. Also, pretty much all newer Canon cameras will have a clean HDMI out. Soon, most makes of mid to high priced cameras will include it. Also coming is a standard USB C power connector cord. The European Union ordered Apple to get with the program and no more special cords for you or you won't be able to sell stuff in Europe. www.elgato.com/en/capture-card-selector

I don't know of a dummy battery BUT... IT COMES WITH AN A/C POWER SUPPLY CORD AND CAMERA POWER INPUT PORT and, ALSO, you can plug the USB outlet into ANY USB hub... your TV, your monitor, your USB hub... any 5 volt source. The USB will power the camera and you don't have to worry about the battery croaking on you while recording. The USB will then power the camera. That's what I do... closest USB port is my TV so I plugged it in there. USB and HDMI connectors are almost always two way.

I use RGBlink to connect to the computer and have not used a grabber but methinks the issue is in your SOURCE in OBS... what the source is you have selected. I'm not aware of a test screen in the camera so that screen MUST be coming from OBS. Methinks checking out OBS tutorials will help. @@zarazane2787 Hi. I checked the camera and there is no output that will give you a test screen so the issue is in the grabber or OBS (which, I hear, can have issues with Chrome), but you need to look at your SOURCES in OBS and see if it shows a VIDEO CAPTURE DEVICE. If you click on that, you should be able to find your grabber in the possible links, as well as any webcams. I have two webcams and they both show up there... one in the PC and another connected by USB. So... you should have hdmi out of the camera into your grabber and that feeds into a USB input on your computer and your computer should detect it... that's the best answer I can come up with. Look at your video capture sources in OBS, click on it and look for selections.

It may be a default in that memory format, I don't know BUT, go into your menu and settings and try to TURN OFF and features that limit recording time. I have found in, I think it's one of my small cameras that it will reset and keep recording in such and such amount of memory. It doesn't stop recording but starts a new file. I see this camera can record in MP4 format, so try to select that. AVCHD records in less than 4GB chunks, so you'll need software that can import those files and stitch them together, or you can import them yourself into a video editor, but make sure you have in the correct order.

If you connect both the HDMI and USB into your computer, the camera will think you are using the USB as a power supply and give you only an HDMI output. USB out is READ ONLY. It will ask you what you want to do and if you connect to your computer it will be READ ONLY, not live. No matter what you select it will be READ ONLY, not live. So, the HDMI out can be sent to your computer by way of a mixer/switcher such as RGBLink, or you can use a program like OBS that will allow you select from several video inputs... a wide, wide, wide selection of inputs. You are going to require a recording program to see output or a separate monitor. You can plug the HDMI output directly into a TV or monitor.... you may plug the HDMI out into your TV. You will have to go into your TV menu and look for one of the HDMI inputs... you may have several, one of them will work and you will know when the camcorder image suddenly appears on the screen. You can see the USB output by way of a recording program. OBS is free and does everything but wash your socks. There is a learning curve but it's not that difficult. Something to keep you busy learning. I use a mixer so the HDMI goes into that and I plug the HDMI from my computer into my TV sitting right in front of me... a 42 inch monitor, as it were. The USB out from the camcorder will be interpreted by your computer as a video player... a USB input video player. Not sure if that all made sense but the MAIN THING is you can have READ ONLY using the USB out and have to use the HDMI out for a live signal and that will require a recording program like VideoPad or OBS (free). You could buy a separate monitor too for the camcorder... using the HDMI out.

@@anro1075 Hi again. I did some experiments... I only use the Camcorder as an HDMI out and don't use the USB so I had to try it out to see what happens. I power the camcorder by plugging the camcorder power cord into my multi USB dock station (7 inputs) so my camera is being powered by my USB port. You may use the power supply also but, this way, the camera is only on when I turn on the power to the camcorder... i.e. the power supply you plug into the wall is ALWAYS on. NEXT STEP is I plug the HDMI out from the camera into a multi-port mixer/switcher (two of them, actually, so I can choose from 6 to 7 inputs. The thing is, I NEVER try to record in the camera and I don't think Panasonic was trying to give that option. They, quite simply, gave you the option to tap into the HDMI before it got converted to USB. HDMI can handle data MUCH faster than USB and uses a slightly higher voltage to travel, in wires, farther. You need, it seems, a USB signal to record but you can only get a READ ONLY when you do that. You need the HDMI to record but the computer only accepts (mine, anyways) USB to record. So... you are going to hate this, you are going to have to buy an HDMI to USB GRABBER and plug it in between your Camcorder and the computer. Then you can get a USB signal from the camcorder to record on your computer and the image will be part of the recorder. You can't use your computer as an HDMI display. Your TV will have that ability to display an image... I plug my computer's HDMI port to my TV and use the TV for a monitor. I could buy a monitor but I hate spending even more money... I'm poor and admit it. The outcome, I think is this. You can't use the camcorder to record (in/on the actual camcorder) while using it as an external camera by way of the HDMI. You could buy a monitor and use the Camcorder HDMI to show you what you are recording on the camcorder but you really want to, or should want to, record on you computer, not the camcorder. It is just a lens with an HDMI output using the HDMI out function. You can purchase a recorder monitor starting about $600... the Ninja recorders. @@numanahmad3867 KZfaq provides creator tips. Keep videos short, if you can, make lots of cuts... people get bored easily, There are a lot of helpful videos for creators. The hard part is finding a "schtick" which means a purpose. It's easy to make a couple of good videos then people run out of ideas. If you have a skill, make videos about that skill, or look for people with a skill and make videos of them doing their thing. Learn to make good video. It's about MOTION. If the subject is standing still, you move. Keep it moving. Learn about lighting. Backlight is always a challenge for non pros. Keep thing side lighted or keep the light behind you without casting a shadow on your subject. Learn how to be a better photographer. Sub-titles are very important to the bot the determines where you appear in a search. Always use sub-titles... you will find the link on the left of the content page. Just look for sub-titles and figure out how to turn them on... they can be generated automatically, so just turn them on, spelling mistakes and all. Look at what other people who are successful are doing for ideas. The hard part is coming up with an idea you can make HUNDREDS of videos about. A partner will get 1/10th of a cent for each view that is monetized and more if people click on ads. Never get your friends to do that (click on ads for you). It will be detected VERY QUICKLY and your channel will be banned and deleted. Find something you can make videos about every week for several years... some subject you can specialize in. If you live in a village, start recording village life. Animals are very popular... maybe you can find a niche there. When it comes to equipment use whatever you have until you can afford something better. You will need a basic editor and a computer. OBSproject.com gives a free very powerful tool for making videos. It takes a while to learn it but you can record videos with it with tons and tons and tons of effects. It's much harder to become a partner these days and hundreds of hours of video are being uploaded every day. Once you get enough views or subscribers you can apply to become a partner. If you have a video with tons of views KZfaq will ask you to be a partner. That provides some tools regular users don't have. You can use a smart phone for a camera but you will need to get a computer, at some time, if you want to edit videos which pretty much all creators use... I use OBS, Video Pad, and Corel Video Studio 2020. The really, really, really HARD part is coming up with neat ideas and making a good SHORT video about them. Cooking videos do well. Never use copyrighted music. Good music is hard to find... most free music is crap. KZfaq has a audio library of free to use music. It's about 95% crap music but there are a couple of good tracks. There are MILLIONS of videos on KZfaq so it's very hard to stand out. Make your title have good search words in it and repeat those words in the description. Add TAGS that are relevant. Try to have a thumbnail that stands out in some way. Become a story teller... learn to tell stories. Me, I'm a photographer, a very good photographer but I don't make videos about photography because I don't own enough good gear any more and there are, already, tons of photo videos... how to videos. These days I'm trying hard to find interesting things to make videos about but it's hard, hard, hard, hard, hard. Being a story teller is hard work. When I started this channel ten years ago, I was going to cover local events. The problem is that bands and floats in parades and events often played copyrighted music and I was constantly being hit with copyright infringement by KZfaq. One of my fireworks videos... a really good video had the entire sound track muted because of one piece of music in the fireworks. Nice video... no sound. So, I don't do parades nor events anymore. I'm a photographer, not a story teller. I tell stories with photos and I go to the subjects, they didn't come to me. Now I'm making random videos. I'm researching ancient history... history OLDER than 4,000 years ago. There is a creator, Praveen Mohan who makes such videos except he seems to know NOTHING about history and thinks a thousand years ago is ancient. It isn't. A thousand years ago is like yesterday...not remotely ancient. His videos are really bad, bad, bad, bad information and nobody should watch them, but he has made a couple hundred thousand dollars from his videos. kzfaq.info His videos are false information. He does anything he can to get views and he does... BUT, the information is fake, false, presumed. Very, very, very, very BAD information... and people still watch it. The simple fact of the matter is most people don't know much of anything about anything and people are inclined to believe in what they WANT to believe in... to convince themselves they are correct. Most humans know little of anything about anything. I'm well educated and I'm reclusive because most people are kinda... not educated and most are not too smart. The people of your part of the world are VERY superstitious. You can use that to your advantage when looking for subject matter. You have to work it. IT'S WORK. BUT... you can make more than a million dollars making videos and HUNDREDS of people are doing, exactly, that. Some of the most popular and successful channels use CLICK BAIT titles... titles that have little or nothing to do with what is in the video. I hate such channels but they do well and, often, use stock video and a voice over. They spend a lot of money to make the video knowing it will make money. If it costs you $1,000 to make a video and you know you will make more than $10,000 from it... dat's a good pay check for a week's work. At this moment, 26 March, 2022, this video has 3,497 views, which means it has earned me $3.50 US to date. Maybe more if somebody watched an advertisement or clicked on the ad... bonus money. I don't have any sponsors. Many channels do have sponsors and sell merchandise. Yes you can become very well off making videos. Best of luck... remember it's work.
