This video is going over the layout of the Panasonic LX100 II. This is to help those who have purchased the camera, either to introduce them to the buttons and doors, or for someone who has already had the camera but needed a reminder. The more you know, the less you will feel intimidated with the available settings and features!
If you have questions I did not answer, please let me know in the comments below!
And a big Congratulations to Robby and Taylin!!
CORRECTION: 3:40 you cannot charge and use the camera at the same time, however, if you are in an area where you do not have access to a wall outlet to charge, an external battery pack can help you when you are on the go!

I think you do the best reviews and walkthroughs on KZfaq. You are serious about providing the information that people are looking for. I have the Lumix TZ 200 and you provided a great explanation of its capabilities and menu system. Your LX 100 ll walkthrough is very informative and I hope you keep giving us these excellent and comprehensive reviews. Thank you so very much for your professional approach.

Im Fujifilm XT4 and XE4 owner. Theres one thing I can give you a guarantee on. If LX + (XE4 or XPro3 or XT4 or X100V) are skillfully used by a hardcore photographer to capture the same daylight image using lenses of the same focal length and same aperture, printed on nothing bigger than 5x7”, and then with both sets of photos shown to strangers by the roadside, no one would know that 2 cameras were involved.

Absolutely. When I used these for a wedding, they stood up to the photographers 5DIV very well when printed up to an 8x10-11x14.

Point and shoot is not the best description for the LX100 II. With all of it’s manual controls and customizable buttons it goes way beyond point and shoot. And regarding the flash, there is a tiny external flash included in the box. It can pretend to be a point and shoot in the iA mode. It’s a very advanced, full featured enthusiast camera.
@Shutterbug101
@Shutterbug101 Жыл бұрын
I do not mean point and shoot in a degrading way. We consider a point and shoot in a sense where it does not have an interchangeable lens, so what you buy is what you have. This is absolutely the most advanced point and shoot out there with its micro four thirds sensor and 1.4 aperture. It could absolutely be a second shooter to a main set up.

I have my LX1000 II doing fine on transfering pictures to my Iphone at home but cannot make it do the same out in away from wifi range. In other words remote from my home as in a city park environment. Can you point me in the right direction. Simply not doing a simple- hand shake phone to camera . Thanks.

It seems that the camera and phone need to connect using a WiFi signal source outside of the phone and camera, in other words if you're not at home or a Starbucks or anywhere there is a WiFi you can connect your phone to it doesn't work! I found a SD card reader that connects to my iPhone and transfer my photos that way, it's incredibly much easier and faster! Open the iPhone photos app scroll down to utilities click on imports you should be able to see everything on the SD card and then import the photos you want.

how frequent have you heard or read of dust penetrating the lens? Thanks.
@Shutterbug101
@Shutterbug101 2 жыл бұрын
While it isn’t extremely common, it does happen. Any camera that has an extending lens barrel where the dust/dirt/lint can land and then be sucked into the camera upon powering down, I recommend wiping off the barrel beforehand because once it’s in the camera body, it’s not coming out. In the case where you now see spots on your pictures due to dust, you can try and blow air into the area around the lens to see if you can get it to move away from the sensor but that is about it.

How many hours can this timelapse camera record? Is it possible to record without batteries on the cable?
@Shutterbug101

I was looking for a safe dummy battery that I would recommend but can’t find any that I can confidently say will not harm that camera. As for recommendations that do take a reliable dummy battery, I would recommend the Panasonic G100. It’s close to size, but offers different lens options.

The digital zoom will not be enabled if: -you have a creative filter set -if you are in certain SCN modes -if you are set to High Speed Video mode -when burst mode is set to SH -when HDR is on -when multiple exposure is on -when your shooting in RAW Check these settings and I’m sure you will find one of these is the culprit

Hi I really need some help and advice please. I would like to buy a compact camera with a good zoom, good video, picture quality, touch screen if possible, anti shake as I have a small tremor and RA in my hands but I really would like to buy one and finally take nice photos of birds, family so fast moving, night shots and would like to photo water that looks like foggy/steamy if you know what I mean. I am a pensioner (in my 70s so a young pensioner), so cannot afford a lot. I bought an Olympus Pen 10 camera just before the pandemic but then we could not go out. But trying it on birds in the garden and horses in the field where I lived, I realised with these hands not a good idea to have to keep changing lens. Could you please point me in the right direction please. I live in Uk. Many thanks.
