The annual Southland Disability Enterprises Awards Night is the highlight of their staff's social calendar. It’s an evening that the whole team and their families look forward to, but as the date of the big event draws closer, it becomes clear that this year is not like any others before it. With the Covid-19 situation rapidly escalating, life for this vulnerable workforce is about to change dramatically. / attitudepictures

you can't, i mean the gov doesnt want it. The Gov only want the disable people to stay disable, that's why anyone who is handicap can't make more than 20k per year otherwise they loose all benefits, and guess what, it's even worst if you get married

I did Something similar to this and they took advantage of me on the others by not paying us so I left and then they said they’re going to Sue me even know they’re not the ones paying me it was the council because they’re a non-profit so always be careful because people always take advantage of us people with disabilities but I would love to work a place like this that actually appreciates me

It's actually BS that there isn't more of these services and that business's don't hire more people with disabilities. They're the most honest, hard working and diligent individuals that really bring light to communities and a real world understanding to how great people with disabilities can actually make others lives. People with disabilities love to have purpose and these kinds of jobs give them the purpose they deserve.

Why are these folks pulling apart fiberglass insulation without masks on?!?!? Gloves are great and all, but your lungs and fibers of insulation do NOT get along. Seems like a pretty big safety oversight to me.
