Dr Balamuralikrishna deserved a Bharat Ratna. Thanks to all governments for ignoring him. And most awful thing, when BMK passed away he was not even accorded a state funeral... such was the apathy of the state governments (TN and AP)

When they were alive we used to listen to them casually on Doordarshan. Today, we miss those precious music exponents. Such calibre won't be born again.

I and my family had the great good fortune of hosting Dr.Balamuralikrishna five times during the years 1985-2000. I remember discussing with him Bharat Ratna awards during the 1990s.. His comment was that these awards have become very political. His music and compositions will endure for centuries. There is no doubt about. Many many doctorates will be produced on his work and music. When he used to place his hand in mine briefly and walk, or watch dances of his compositions, I used to have goose bumps, and knew what Rama's touch was to the stone that became Ahalya. The Gods and Goddesses send such men to bring happiness to the world.

I like how the most accomplished Dr. BL Krishna recites the basic sargam at 15:35, and PT. Bhimsen follows respectfully in deference to his co-singer . Then, a minute later, Pt, Bhimsen unleashes a barrage of original notes and taans, and we are left watching in awe! Spellbound!

Dr Balmuralikrishna and Pt Bhimsen Joshi are the princes of the hearts of all music lovers. Music is divine. The TN , AP and Kerala governments are a bunch of people who represent the basal instincts of vested interests. Big SALUTE to BMK and pt Joshi from the Himalayas.

Great singing. Two ever unique and tallest music Legends are singing together Raag Yeman ---Kalyani and Raag Malkouns --Hindol for Almighty. They created Divinely atmosphere. Their singing is so sweet and so melodious that I have no words to describe. Their Jugalbandi is unique and has no parallel so far as l know. Pandit. Bheemsenji and Dr. Balamuurali ji both are pride of this Great Nation. Dhanyosmi by hearing their Divinely singing. I salute them. 🙏🙏👌👌👍👍❤️❤️🌹🌹

I had listened in 1988 through Door darshan national channel. It is indeed a Gandharva Gaana in real sense.

Gandharvas must have descended to listen to these stalwarts fill the world with their vocal notes. What a time and moment it must have been. India is fortunate to have this beauty and diversity!

It is true that both were great singers but Music Mastreo Sriman Balkrkrisna had always treated Joshi jee with high regards and in those days the minminded thinking of discarding or ignoring were not part of our social thinking and if we will think in such way the great souls will be pained.
