Aly Alp-Ercelan, the two people singing are his disciples. They are accompanying him. It’s a part of their training. This is not a jugalbandi. Usually, in a jugalbandi, two artists of similar stature participate. Both get equal importance and time. If you notice, here, Panditji gestures towards one of the disciples when he wants that person to sing. They will not sing unless asked by the Guru to sing.
