The Panama papers were released and NOTHING happened and NOBODY went to jail. The Paradise papers were released and NOTHING happened and NOBODY went to jail. Anybody who thinks anything will happen or if anybody will go to jail with this load is just wishful thinking.

What are you talking about, there's nothing stopping you from setting up shell companies and behaving in an identical way, so long as you have the capital to do so. The rules are identical. This came out in the UK a few years ago, and because the tax havens are 'controlled' by City of London and these tax havens were originally part of English Empire, nothing was ever done. Too many fingers in pies.

Income taxation is morally wrong in the first place and if certain countries agree not to tax your income if you bring money into their country ad a form of investment that is not a bad thing. There is NOTHING illegal about investing or keeping money in countries that prefer not to collect taxes on your income.Journalists spreading false stories is not heroic.

@@barbaralindhjem2488 After they pay taxes they can do whatever they want with the money. I saw the stories they used for Pandora Papers and one is for a guy buying a yacht in a trust to avoid taxes. My personal opinion is this is a non-story.

They speak for example of the king of Jordan who channeled hundreds of millions outside his country, investing in real estate all over the USA, while his country recieves millions of dollar in developement aid every year and the people demonstrate on the street against their poverty.

I mean come on. An oligarg Gennadi Timtsenko with close ties to Putin was already revealed by the pandora papers to have received over a billion euros through tax havens to buy a large part of a gas producing giant Novatek. The list also has putin's childhood friend, his suspected ex wife and mother of his daughter and his former janitor all with off shore shell companies that are worth millions.
