I would like to see Dr.Umar on platforms that are taken more seriously. He’s too profound in his arts as a black intellectual to be on Comedy Central. He is TOOOO GREAT! I want to hear HIM talk and I want everyone to just listen to this man. Months ago, he said Brittany would be home before Christmas because of the elections and he was clearly right! Give this man his own stage!

Umar is a cult of personality and advances ideas that center around capitalism, individualism, patriarchy, and homophobia. None of these align with Pan-Africanism. He's literally one big contradiction and the last person who should be given the spotlight. It's embarrassing how much people fall for his bs. There are PLENTY of real organizers and intellectuals out there. Robin DG Kelly, Ajamu Baraka, Ahjamu Umi, Jared Ball, etc. Black Power Media here on youtube has several. But Umar??? Naw.

Good discussion, brought out a lot of things I hadn't thought about. Just want to point out, as an avid WNBA fan, that the league doesn't play a 3-month schedule as one of the panelists stated. The season starts in May and runs through September (which is still short compared to the NBA, etc.). The preseason is compressed and I think each team plays only a couple of preseason exhibition games, and many players are still overseas. One piece of positive news is that that each team will play 40 games this season and the playoff format that was launched last season was very successful. The CBA that went into effect last season also boosted salaries across the board, though it's still lucrative to play overseas. I think the league is on the right track and it's just a matter of time before it reaches profitability. The product is definitely there. IMHO.

I'm recognizing something that is disturbing to me. When Britney went to prison she had support that she also was attacked cuz she was gay especially when her lover showed her face. The elephant in the room that no one seems to want to address is Why on earth did she bring cannabis oil on a plane??????? I live in a state where it's legal, but I know not to take it on a plane. Duh! Was she that unaware? Or in some consciousness of entitlement that the laws didn't apply to her? I think it's her generation. Older folks, who've had to deal with prohibition, are more astute. I hope Bill Maher brings this up.

It’s been addressed. Look at the interview her wife did with The View. It was pretty interesting. She had a prescription for it. What’s also interesting is that she played for Russia. She paid Russian taxes. She actually has a HUGE fan base in Russia. Everyone knows her there. John, this was ALL political.

Surprised the doctor even bothered to comment, considering his past frequent bashing of the LGBTG community, particularly Black Gay men. Or maybe he just likes Black Gay women? Or maybe he's had a change of heart all around? I hope the later is the case, because I do appreciate a lot of what he has to say, otherwise.
