Pang to Tsomoriri - 100 km hike in Ladakh

Pang to Tsomoriri is a beautiful and relatively easy alternative to reach Karzok as compared to Parang la (5560 m) which is quite challenging.
The hike starts from Pang (4600) which is a temporary settlement that comes to life every year when the Manali-Leh highway opens up.
There are dhabas at Pang where you can stay and eat good food.
The hike does not have any other point to refuel until Karzok (4500 m) which is 103 km away from Pang. You would find sheoherds from Karzok and Chumur village in the valley in the months of August and September.
The trail is almost flat but long. The trail is not water scarce and the trail is marked on open street maps.
I hope you'd find this video useful. If you have any queries then feel free to reach out to me.

Your videos are raising the benchmark for walkthroughs of Himalayan treks. No unnecessary frills or jarring music- the combination of serene visuals and natural sounds mesmerizing us viewers and as if that wasn't enough, you are giving such beautiful insight not only into the life of the locals there, but also your way of trekking. I have watched this twice and I am pretty sure I'll come back to it later as well. Keep up the great work, Manav bhai!

Nice to follow you guys on your epic push to Korzok in only 2 days! Surprising that this barren land can support the domesticated herds as well as the kiang and others. Also surprising is the beauty of this desolate tract, the snowy peaks and clear streams, the sapphire lake below a kobalt sky with tufts of white clouds. So good to see it again in your film. Congratulations guys, that was huge!

Just loving your videos.. already following on Instagram too.. great content 👌🏽👌🏽 Manav @Creedaz I hv a few questions - i dont have a gps watch, is it possible to do this without GPS?? How to find the right trail if don't have support stuff?? Can we found water sources throughout the route?? Is this route doable in 1st week of June?? Asking for the water crossing issues that time.. Do we need any permission for this route?? Any suggestions you would love to give .. I wish you best of luck for this KZfaq channel, it's a fresh air for us who only get a chance to do 1-2 treks every year... Keep up the good work.. Kudos... Hope to meet you in mountains someday
@Creedaz
@Creedaz 2 жыл бұрын
You don't need a watch to hike on any route. You can find all these routes in an app called OsmAnd. You need to install it on your phone and then you can easily follow these trails. You can also see water sources marked on the map, further, you can see that there was a river all along the trail so no need to worry about water. It will be possible in June. Don't worry about the crossings. No permission required.
