I once managed a restaurant for a relative. We never got any scammers but a couple of guys who came in on separate occasions who were asking for something to eat as they had no money but were willing to wash dishes. We gave them a hot meal and they appreciated it. Not once did they ask for money. The waitresses pulled their tips together and donated it. I do not give money to anyone who is panhandling, I refer them to organizations that will help them and they all turn it down. I once managed a gas station that was next door to a motel. A guy came in and said he needed a place to stay and got a free motel room through a voucher from an organization in town. Funny how he got a motel room and had money to buy beer. Next morning he came in, bought more beer and proceeded to tell me how he hit every bar in town. People like him are disgusting.

Our son battled brain cancer at 4 years old. We almost lost him and he permanently disabled as a result. That was 10 years ago and we are still trying to recover financially. This absolutely infuriates me that someone would use this as a catalyst to gain money. I would not be able to control my anger if encountered them. Thank you for holding people accountable!

Why do people think they can make living scamming others using the lowest form of scams?

I live in Houston and these people literally took over the entire apartment complex. All these people are from Romania by way of California and Florida. You should see the vans lined up along the street. I moved!!!!

I had a similar experience and I donated 5 dollars. The only reason I say this is because I know it was a lie. I don't believe that you should ever be a braggart about helping others. It takes away the true reason for being charitable and does not contribute to altruism. I ran into the same four way intersection off a busy drag where four people had matching signs and all wearing the same color t-shirts. When I noticed them all while turning into the gas station after work. I hit the red light turning left onto the main drag. Saw a sign, looked almost identical to these gypsies. The words were stenciled on and there was a picture of little "Andre" a baby boy with.... brain cancer. I rolled my window down and gave the guy the whole 5 dollars I had in my wallet. I told the young man me and my family were going to pray for "Andre". The guy just looked down said thank you and staired at his toes. Well I work making sure there are no gas leaks from any valves. Two months later I am on the very opposite side of San Diego. I'm on my lunch break so I hit the main street to turn and grab some food and I see 5 people wearing the same color hats all holding signs, again at a 4 way stop. I pull in and who do I see? Well it's little "Andre" two months later but with the same picture. So I walk up to the person holding one of the signs and I am not too sure what ever happened to him But the same exact signs were telling baby "Alexa" now had brain cancer. Perhaps a 2 year old was able to tell his parents he was able to make it clear he identifies as female now but the same picture, now a girl has the same brain cancer. I damn near lost my shit and walked away from the begging and got in the truck and took off. Never again will I fall for this BS. I had to just leave and get away from there before I lost my cool. The whole time I am waiting for the light to go green I just saw person after person giving their money away to grifters with no shame. Happy to say I have not run into them again. Next time I am gonna film them. Scum of the earth. Discredits all the real people who are down and out on their luck. I am happy you are confronting these gypsy parasites.

Tractor Supply needs to post "Private Property No Panhandling" signs next to the entrances and exits, and also on their storefront. Maybe even surveillance cameras. Enough of that panhandling happens, and it will have impact on the customer base.

The driver of the van is the supervisor. The leader take them to different locations, he gave them the signs and tells them what to say, probably at the end of their shift, the leader charge them, for the gas and delivery, that is how I think it works this disgusting way of using pictures and play on the emotions of good heart people of the U.S.A.

This is a scam there was a alert from a Sheriff's Department in Florida that post a pick of these same people today on a police page.

These scumbags are everywhere here in Cleveland. Lots use kids as props and most have nice vehicles, usually a van that they sit next to outside - in lawn chairs even, just outside the entrance of a busy store. I live near Costco, supposedly the second busiest one in the country and frankly, I believe it since it's always a mad house, and they make a killing from all the dummies who throw money at them. It's disgusting.

Saw same scam in Minnesota, stopped to talk to a woman with sign,sign of bald boy "with cancer". Thought they were in town for treatment as the city i live in is a top medical research facility. No they are raising money for a kid in Central America, told El Salvador, then Mexico. With in 5min they packed up and were gone. Hour later on other side of town, till they saw me walking up again. Scam

These lowlife make it bad for some of us who legally solicit funds for our volunteer groups. Near Memorial Day I have poppies which support the American Legion Post that I am a life member of. Many years ago I was on the bucket brigade that helped raise money to build a hospital in the Town of Hackettstown, NJ. Local fire departments, all volunteer, set up collection points at intersections, etc. We all have credentials and proper membership cards, plus the local authorities know when we will be collecting. Keep exposing these bums and ignore the negative comments, you're performing an essential service.

There are Romanians doing the same thing here now in Las Vegas. One local amateur investigator / reporter was asking them questions and offered to help ... even had a brick of $100 bills. But instead, they ran away, one threatened to throw rocks at him. And they didn't want to be filmed. Oh, and they said the sick child was in Romania, which begs the question if they are even here legally. They got chased off to another part of town, only to start up again but with a different picture and name of dead child needing an overseas funeral. But just in case, give them St. Jude's business card!

Iv been through loosing my wife at only 36 to cancer 4 years ago I’m raising three kids and my oldest got killed in a car accident as a passenger at only 20 my only son and best friend and Iv had to deal with all this emotionally and financially by myself and these people think they have the right to come to our country and do this it’s sad why not go to there country m so sick of seeing crap like this our own American citizens need help

When deputies confronted the family, Snyder said they confessed they were pocketing the cash, making at least $600 per week. Even though the sheriff's office called the panhandlers' actions "thoughtless and unethical," they didn't violate any Florida law that would result in arrest but were trespassing in the intersection.
