Desperately? Well can inform you that all 555 numbered bikes were already sold first day after press release. I applied within one day and signed the Ducati 0:43 sales contract but unfortunately didn’t win this lot.

Honestly I like ducati more with v2s and not V4s, imo their V4s sound horrible.. I would rather aprilias v4, or if Honda would make a damn v4 again. Ducati twins are awesome, but it's unfortunate that they don't focus on their twins anymore for their high end machines.

@@rns6889 you are a moron and know jackshyt about racing!!!!!!!!! The FIM refused to give them special high displacement privileges anymore and told them you have to stay within the 1000cc limit. So they had to make a V4 to remain competitive. the last highly tuned twin within the FIM regulations was the 999RS at 205rwhp. They would get smoked today with a 999RS. Ducati is about racing first!!!! they just make streetbikes to sell to you suckers to fund their racing efforts in WSBK and MotoGP.

@minatormyth you can't just buy one, you have to be invited to buy one, which I was, however, that's no guarantee of being accepted. What part of the concept of only 555 in the world is it you're not getting. These bikes are solely for top Ducati customers first and foremost. People who have shown dedication to and an interest in the brand. I've had 29 Ducatis and still own the latest Panigale SP2 30th Anniversario 916. You can't just'buy one'

Carbon everywhere, limited to only 555 units worldwide, numbered top yoke, rizoma quick release fuel cap. Mirror blanks, bike specific lettered cover, cert of authenticity. Apart from that, paint and ohlins and the fact your unlikely to ever see one on the road, not much. You pay your money and make your choice, Ducati buyers and owners will understand. I also forgot, over a grands worth of Rizoma adjustable rearsets, different grips and plexiglass screen.

@imsatanscott nobody will ever be happy all the time, they can't please everyone but for the 555 lucky owners, they'll be pleased. If you go back to 2017/18, they actually did make a 1299 final edition with high level akras and an Italian flag paintjob. 205hp in standard trim and 215 with pipes and upmap.

Ducs hold their value pretty well compared to almost anything else. All of the special editions just squeeze a little more revenue out of an old platform. The MotoGP replicas are silly and overpriced, only the Bautista V4R makes any sense. Next year though the Marquez edition will have 9393 units available because demand will be high!

@@sburns2421 Go to any Ducati dealer and you will see dozens of used bikes selling for 50% of their MSRP with a couple hundred miles on them and only 1 year old. The V4R has a genuine higher value because it is a different engine not because of the color scheme or whatever name Ducati comes up with. People don't go to Ducati for good looks, people go to Ducati for the best performing motorcycles on the market.

@@Captainhairyass I owned a Multistrada V4S, I valued the bike at my local Ducati dealer 2 months ago and was told my 2022 V4S was worth $10k and sold that crap at the first non-Ducati dealer to offer me at least $16k. By the way buddy, this "multi-billion dollar" company filed for bankruptcy before.

I love the brand, but this is a final edition...same brakes as a base v2, same power and torque, same wheels even! This is a nice livery, but is a Ducati performance parts bin special. Remember the 1299 Final Edition? That had Superleggera components! Why not go all out on this and actually make it special?

Because there’s no V2 Superleggera to transplant parts from, and a cost of homologating parts for 555 bikes is unjustifiable. It got everything they had, plus a livery and limitation in quantity. The real question is: what next for V2? Is really the new baby Panigale going to be electrical?
