Released as "Suburbia" single B-side track in September 1986 and later included in "Disco", the first Pet Shop Boys' remix album, as an extended version in November 1986.
As usual, some of Fairlight CMI Series III factory samples were used for drums section (kick, cymbals, toms and hi-hats), also Adrien Cook's Fairlight CMI IIx disks (snare, FM-synth bass, scratch and vocal stab).
The strings ("Marcato" and "Arco"), french horn and timpani comes from Emulator II and "Sync Sweep" synth was recorded using Roland Cloud JX-3P plugin.

Bass is a bit low in the mix and needs a little more low end. less reverb on some of the percussion parts. But it is pretty much perfect and totally amazing.

There are a lot of paninaro instrumental covers out there - this however is the greatest by far - would be great to have the Stems or Midi file!

Heyo, I am interested in the sources for these instruments, particularly the bass patch. Where did you obtain these from? I'm assuming they're archived on the internet?

@MidoriMizuno - Someone else asked a similar question in the comments under Raimundo's recreation of 'Suburbia'. He replied in Spanish - here it is in English: "I advise you to go to the *Internet Archive* and look for the *SF2* (SoundFonts) from the factory library of both the *Fairlight CMI Series III* and the *Emulator II* to download, you can find all the sounds right there. It is a matter of being patient with the search for each sample and the same with programming, if what you are looking for is to replicate the original track."
