In today's video, I'll be opening and reviewing (2) of the brand new 2023-24 Panini Contenders Football Mega Boxes. These boxes cost $55 at WalMart. They can also be purchased at Target for $50 a box. Each box contains 6 18-card packs. Each box contains 1 Autograph, 2 Memorabilia cards, 12 Red, and 6 Bronze parallels per box on average. Look base Teal parallels(#'d/75), Rookie Ticket Swatches Autographs(#'d/25), and Rookie Ticket Dual Swatches Prime(#'d/25).
The Contenders base set consists of 308 cards in total. Chase after top rookies such as Bryce Young, Anthong Richardson, CJ Stroud, Bijan Robinson, Sam Laporta, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Will Levis.

🃏 for FUN FACTOR: Contender's is a lot like watching paint dry. Base card after base card after base card until finally you get to look at elementary school level inserts and parallels. If you watch long enough, you might see an autograph...or Panini Points.
🃏 for VALUE: Contenders retail is down right offensive. No, we don't expect our value back in a product. We'd like to have a tiny bit of fun, and maybe on the way get something we can call valuable. The $3 Memorabilia cards, and $10 Autographs simply don't do it.
🃏🃏 for DESIGN/FORMAT: Props to Panini putting "3 Hits" in each box. It's a dubious marketing tactic. More of a ploy than anything. There will be boxes with no autographs. Not even points. The lack of exciting parallels isn't doing Contenders any favors, either.
🃏 for COLLECTABILITY: Except for a Stroud parallel, a numbered card, or top tier rookie auto, there's nothing here anyone would want in their collection. If you do...to each there own.
